A New Role

Chapter 1

Miracle Queen held the miracle box as M'lady and I stood from the steps watching her. Above her on the rooftop, Mayura and Hawk Moth were destroying Master Fu's shell he was using to protect himself.

"I'm sorry. I'm so useless! If I hadn't forgotten to de transform myself to go see Master Fu". I hugged Ladybug, as she looked down and sad. "Hawk Moth wouldn't have taken him hostage. He wouldn't have taken the Miracle Box".

"Ladybug, you are the best Miraculous holder I've ever met. You made mistakes, but who hasn't? What matters is to fix them. And you always, always miraculously know how to fix things, right?", asked Jade Turtle, while protecting himself.

"But what should I do?", asked Ladybug, as she released herself from our embrace.

"You hold all the keys Ladybug. You always have. Chat Noir is one of them. He'll be one of the most magnificent of Guardians", said Jade Turtle, making my ears perk up. Me being the guardian? Only someone such as Ladybug could do it. Not me.

"What?", asked a shocked Hawk Moth.

"Master!", said a blue ox looking kwami.

"No", said the goat kwami.

"Don't do it", pleaded a magenta tiger looking one.

"I, Wang Fu, hereby relinquish the Miracle Box and name Chat Noir the new Guardian!", said Jade Turtle, as a huge bright light appears. The box falls into Queen Bee's arms. It was black with the symbols of each miraculous showing on each compartment.

"No!", yelled Hawk Moth.

"Hawk Moth, tell him to give me my box back!", demanded Queen Bee. Hawk Moth rolled his eyes and carried Mayura and escaped on the senti monster.

"You get the box", I said to Ladybug. "I'll go after them".

I jumped after the villains but they were too far. I returned and saw Ladybug talking to Master Fu on the rooftop. I joined them and looked at Wayzz who was grieving over the fact that his master wouldn't remember him anymore.

"Master? Master?", asked Ladybug, as the both of us hovered over a Master Fu lying on the ground.

He soon woke up and smiled at us. "Such pretty costumes, you have", he said.

"Did he lose his memory?", I asked Wayzz who was floating behind me.

"It's the rule of the guardians. After they give up the box, all the memories of them having the box will be erased", said Wayzz. "Goodbye Master". I felt him fly into my pocket.

"There's still hope", I said, pointing at Ladybug's lucky charm.

"Miraculous Ladybug!", yelled Ladybug, as she tossed the lucky charm in the air. All the damages were repaired.

"Do you remember us now?", I asked, as I looked at Master Fu.

"I'm sorry. I don't know who you are", he said. "But it's such a waste of a keychain when I have the same one". He pulled out a similar key chain from his pocket.

Both of our miraculous began beeping. "Be safe!", I yelled, to Master Fu, as Ladybug helped him up. She handed me the box and I jumped with it back home. "Plagg claws in!".

"Finally!", said Plagg, as he flew out of my miraculous. "I feel bad for Wayzz though. Master Fu was his friend".

"I can't imagine forgetting about you", I said, as Plagg gulped down his cheese.

"Well, I'm just that important", he said.

"I need your help with the box", I said. "Do I click this button?". I pressed the top notch on the box which had a cat symbol. The compartment door opened. "Where are all the kwamis?".
