Chapter 10

I sat in my class next to Nino. Ms. Bustier walked inside the classroom and began taking attendance. "Adrien?", asked Ms. Bustier.

"Here", I said, raising my hand.

"Mylene?", asked Ms. Bustier.

There was silence. "She isn't here", said Rose.

"Ivan?", asked Ms. Bustier.

"They were taken away because they were protesting and causing way too much trouble", said Marinette.

"Well class, today we are going to learn about justice", said Ms. Bustier, as she dialed Mr. Roger's number.

"Hello Ms. Bustier", said Mr. Roger. "Is everything alright with Sabrina?".

"Yeah, yeah she's good", said Ms. Bustier, as Sabrina blushed bright red. "I was told that Mylene and Ivan were being escorted with you".

"Yeah they are", said Mr. Roger.

"Well, I order you to bring them back to the park", said Ms. Bustier.

"But I can't do that. These are the mayor's orders", said Mr. Roger.

"We'll see about that", said Ms. Bustier, as she ended the call.

A few minutes later, we all were in the park watching Mayor Bustier hold a chainsaw. He looked at Ivan and Mylene who approached our class. The mayor send something to Mr. Roger who pointed at Ms. Bustier. The mayor rolled his eyes and walked over to the chainsaw. The fire fighter gave him a thumbs up as the mayor held up the chainsaw ready to cut a tree.

"Stop!", yelled Mylene.

"What is it now?", asked the mayor.

"You're cutting trees", said Mylene. "You're harming the trees. They give free amounts of air".

"What do you mean? Even Adrien agrees with it", said Chloe, as she walked over. She whipped out her phone and played it. There was an ad of me jumping holding a plastic bottle of air.

"You're gorgeous", said Marinette. "I mean the ad is generous".

"I didn't know. My father told me it was for a perfume idea", I said, as I looked down.

"We need to stop Project Oxygen", said Mylene.

"We just heard about it", said Alya.

"We've been talking about it for days. It's been months and we've always tried to bring a change and help people see the truth", said Ivan.

"I'm sorry that we didn't take notice. I don't know what we were doing", said Marinette.

"I'm going to cut the tree", said the mayor.

"Wait. So you're telling me that you're going to cut trees which are free and replace them with bottles of air which you would throw and that would pollute our ocean?", asked Marinette, with a smirk. God, this girl.

"Yes, I mean no", said Mr. Mayor, as he fumbled upon his words.

"Stop Project Oxygen", said Nino, as he grabbed my hand and stood in front of the tree. We joined Mylene and Ivan.

"Do what's right for our society", said Marinette.

"Even if it means going against my father", I said, as I held Marinette's hand.

"You're going to do that?", she asked, turning to me with a slight blush on her face.

"Yep", I said, as we faced the mayor. "He lied to me".
