Chapter 11: As if nothing had happened

For the last 10 years, Yeonjun lived like a ghost in his own life.

He felt like running away every single day, but knew that he had nowhere else to go, so he stayed like the good son his parents wanted.

He had stopped crying a long time ago, and accepted his fate.

But now, when he realized that they saw each other again, he somehow felt a bit of hope in his longing heart.

Soobin looked a little different, a little bit colder and closed off, but Yeonjun knew that he wasn't mistaken, that this really was him.

It was his Soobin.

He quickly ran back to the heart of the forest to find him, again.

He wanted him back.

Wanted him to be there still, to be real!

"Soobin!" - He shouted desperately into the distance, knowing that there was no chance for the witch to hear him so far away, but he still hoped that he maybe had heard him, somehow...

"S-Soobin... I love you..."

Yeonjun soon found Soobin's smell and reached the waterfall that was deep in the forest.

And he saw him.

He was standing in front of it with his brothers and that mortal boy from earlier...

Soobin was as beautiful as the first time they met, was what was going through Yeonjun's mind.

He wanted him back.

He wanted to touch him once again.

To hug him.

He felt tears building up in his eyes, he felt scared of being rejected.

Yes. He indeed wanted him back, but did Soobin want him back in the first place.

Then when he was about to just go back to his village and try to forget about it all, like he was trying all those years...

He smelled a vampire and had to react and banish him, the vampire was standing next to Soobin and talking with the mortal boy.

"Jun, is that a vamp?" - Beomgyu startled Yeonjun, the omega had probably followed him here.

"Yes. We... We need to banish him, as dad always says." - Yeonjun tried to answer with confidence.

Then with the fake macho alpha persona Yeonjun had created for himself those past years, so his father won't be disappointed in him, he told the vampire to go away or there will be consequences.
