Chapter 10: I remember the song of your star and mine

[A\N: From this moment on, this story contains spoilers for my Enhypen fanfic Blood & Gold Eyes, since this story is its spin-off, so if you haven't read the parent story yet and don't wanna be spoiled, read it first.]

10 years later.

"So, these are the assholes that dared come into our town and sell fake spells, unlike our authentic ones?" - Huening Kai, questioned his older brother Soobin.

"Yes, indeed." - Answered, Soobin.

"Then let's go in and beat them up!" - Huening Kai shouted like the excited teenager he was.

As he was ready to run towards the building, both him and Soobin were standing in front of, Soobin caught him by the back of his collar, and Huening Kai was forced to stay in place.

"We won't be beating them up, we'll just talk. Since we're the civilised around here." - Soobin said stoically.

"You're no fun, hyung. No wonder Taehyun-hyung says it all the time." - Huening Kai was disappointed.

"Don't try to imitate Taehyun too much, okay. If you want to have friends in the future."

"I guess you're right." - Huening Kai agreed with Soobin and laughed.

"Let's just enter." - Soobin said simply and began walking towards the building.

Once they were inside the fake witches' hiding spot in the unsuspecting building, the two real witches looked around.

Soobin noticed white powder in big bags on the floor, he assumed it was the pixie dust, the fakes stole from fairies nearby, it could be used to make somebody fly and also to make fake spells that last for about an hour...

There were no people in sight, he wondered if they were expecting them and were hiding now.

Then he felt it, a strong presence behind him, he couldn't mistake it, it was him.

His big brother.

Soobin turned around, spooked, and saw nobody.

Was he just imagining things?

"Both of you don't move, or we'll kill you, quickly." - A mysterious voice said creepily, behind Soobin. The witch felt the head of a gun being pressed into his back.

He looked to his right and saw that Huening Kai was in the same position.

The teen, seeing that Soobin was looking at him now, stared at Soobin with a questioning look in his eyes.

Soobin closed eyes and tried to compose himself.

"Bold of you to assume, a mere human can kill a witch so easily. We may not look like it, but we're more stubborn to stay alive than we look." - Soobin said to the man, who was pointing a gun to his back.

Soobin's eyes turned purple and using his powers, he controlled both men's guns now, turning them away from himself and Huening Kai towards the mortals now.

"I really want to just talk with you guys, but since you don't want to. Then I'll do whatever I have to get rid of you both." - Soobin explained with no emotion in his voice.

Huening Kai hid his eyes with his hands.

Then, two gunshots were heard, and he uncovered his eyes, seeing the two men now dead.
