We Are Complete! ( Chapter Thirteen)

Nine Years Ago ...

Friday August 10 th 2024

** Carina is up in the middle of the night breastfeeding Niccolas , Alessandro had a bad dream so he went to sleep with his moms , But he woke up several times because He was scared of Maya's moans , from her contractions... so Carina held him up tight and she whispered to him that she was really happy about his school grades , how he's always there wanting to help everyone out that he sees that needs help, which sparked a question about what they were doing on this day exactly, nine years ago!  **

Alessandro: moms , can I come sleep with you I had a bad dream last night and I'm still scared !
Carina: siiiii , come in bed with us , I'll hug you.. I'm finishing up with giving your little brother some milk and I'll cuddle with you in five minutes, get comfortable in bed !
Alessandro: perfect, thank you momma ! Ohhh your bed is so warm and comfortable oh my gosh!
What were you doing today exactly nine years ago momma ?

Carina: alright bambino , come here... I'll hug you and tell you how much I am proud of you for always being there for anyone who needs help, you are the most sweetest person I've ever met and I'm so grateful for you, and exactly nine years ago I was really pregnant with you and I was so happy and thankful for you already and we haven't even met yet, and I remember that you were doing a lot of summersaults in my stomach and we had just got home from Lorenzo'a eighth birthday trip to Disney World and oh how many times I thought you were coming out when we were in Disney world, and I remember pranking mommy that my water broke and we needed to go to the hospital immediately because you were coming out.
Maya : hrmmm I remember that, I was so panicked and worried, Ben took hours to get to the nearest hospital oh my goodness, I remember Travis saying " Ben pull over now, someone had to help Her , she's about to give birth on the highway, pull over we don't have time to go to the hospital"

Carina: right, and then I just couldn't stop laughing because I knew that you weren't coming out, I had emptied my water bottle on the Matt in our car to make it seem like my water had broken! Mommy was really angry with me and I remember saying.  "Why do you think I'm doing this seventeen days before my due date"

Because it was actually August 2 nd when we got back from vacation and.... I started feeling real labour contractions on August 6 th 2015 . And I remember laying in bed with you in my stomach and Violet came up to me and said to " breathe momma it's okay, momma no pain soon!"
Alessandro: why was Violet talking funny?
Carina: because she was only two years and a half old bambino . And then August tenth was your due date and I was secretly hoping that you would come out on that day, but you had other plans.
Alessandro: yeah, I wanted to be a lucky boy and come out later then I was supposed to!
Carina: yeah, it's getting late now , so I'll continue telling you about what happened exactly nine years ago in the morning okay , you can still sleep in with us mi amore !
Alessandro: thank you! Good night! I love you both so much!
Maya and Carina: good night bambino , we love you so much more than you can ever imagine.

** The three of them managed to sleep immediately after saying goodnight... several hours later everyone was eating breakfast and Alessandro wanted to know what happened exactly on this day nine years ago. So Carina kindly continued the rest of the story, his story. From where she left the story... **

**Carina is sitting on the couch and she's breastfeeding Niccolas , and she's looking at him and immediately smiles at him, he's grabbing her hair and pulling her hair with his little hands.. she's used to that by now. **

Alessandro: good morning momma !
Carina: good morning my sweet boy !
Alessandro: can you continue what you were doing nine years ago momma please! I love hearing my birth story and what everyone was doing back then.
Carina: yes of course, have a seat...

** he sat down next to her and listened carefully, Maya was relaxing on the couch next to them and she was smiling as Carina told him his story.**

Alessandro: And then what happened? When did you know it was time to go to the hospital momma ?
How do women know when it's time to go to the hospital and have their babies?

Carina: I knew you were getting close to finding your key so my secret door would open and you would come out and meet us , and usually we get signs from our bodies telling us when to go , and it's different from a woman to another, but you were baby number five, so when it's not your first baby, the next children are bond to come out faster , and I had cramping all around my stomach and even in my back... and on your actual birthday, Wednesday August 15 th 2015 .. my stomach dropped... and that's when the baby descended into the secret door area and I had experienced that with all of my kids.. so I knew it would happen again.. but sometimes it doesn't happen until the baby is about to be born...
Every single birth experience is different.

Alessandro: ohhh so are you going to do the same thing when Charlotte will be born?
Carina: I will be by mommy's side through her entire labour... and we will let you know when she's going to be born, whether it's in the middle of the night, or middle of the day, if you're at school, as it will be October when Charlotte will be here and she'll be born at home and that's why I bought mommy some equipment to help her with her contractions.. but I knew you were coming to meet us on August 15 th because my contractions were very close to each other. And that's what I always tell my patients, when they are five minutes apart and last for a minute and they are consistent for an hour , that's when we know they can head to the hospital or call their doctors... and Maybe  Charlotte will be born with her aminotic sac still intact! Like you.

Alessandro: ohh ,  I wouldn't mind sharing that title of "being born in the sac" with her !
Carina: right, how special would that be ! Go tell Charlie that... very quietly so you don't wake mommy up , she needs to get enough sleep as she can !

Alessandro: alright, thank you momma , I'm going to go play now!

Carina: alright.
Giovanni and Salvatore: hi momma ! We want to play with you please please!

** The family didn't do much the rest of the day, Maya was just relaxing with Carina near by , Niccolas was not having a good day today, he was teething really bad and all he wanted was to be held by Carina ! The kids were being restless in the house so Carina told everyone to go play outside for a while, to get their energy out! Several hours later everyone came back in the house as it was raining hard.. everyone headed to the bath and shower. Maya wanted a hip and lower back massage, Carina happily gave her one ! Maya was holding Niccolas while Carina got a shower.. Maya took hers that morning. Carina finished telling Alessandro what everyone did nine years ago... Maya couldn't get Niccolas to calm down so they waited for Carina to finish taking her shower, she gave him some breast milk before bedtime, that actually helped him to calm down more... his little tooth are hurting him so bad.. Everyone was asleep by 22h20 ! **
