Chapter 5

Turns out, Eren Jaeger and I get along better than I expected. He's quite ordinary, in terms of strength and talent. But the lad has determination. And that's something I approve of. Still, I hope he becomes strong soon.

"Miss Gojo, I bet you're really strong!" Eren beams as we walk alongside eachother towards the training grounds. Apparently they want to test my 'strength' or something like that. "Haha, of course I'm strong!" I proudly state. "So um... You or captain Levi?" "Huh? What about shortman?" I blink. "I mean, he is humanity's strongest...so.. I was going to ask-" I cut Eren off with a hysterical laugh. "Strongest.. HUMANITY'S STRONGEST? HIM? Sure he's strong but he's also humanity's shortest. Doesn't 'humanity' have a taller person?" Eren looks at me worriedly. "Miss Gojo he might hear us. He wouldn't like to hear this you know.." I compose myself.

"Oh don't worry about that. Anyways, you were saying?" "Who's stronger, you or Captain Levi?" I continue to walk calmly and answer his question. "Well, if shorty fights me with full power, it might be draining, considering the fact they call him humanity's strongest. He does have good technique." Eren's curiosity increases as he asks, "Would you lose?" I smile confidently.

"Nah, I'd win."

"Oi that's enough of blabbering, brats," Eren turns pale from Shorty's glare. "Ohh hey Shorty," I smile mischievously as he nears us. "You better not try anything funny, brat. I have to keep an eye on both of you." I frown and turn towards the training facility. Hange is waving at us. "Woohoo! Eren and Azura! Over here! Today we get to see how strong you are, Azura!" She squeals. Now that kind of energy is unmatched, even by me. Me and Eren wave back, with shorty trailing behind us, with an unamused expression. "First up!" Hange beams enthusiastically. She points towards this weird contraption with a belt attached. "We're going to see if you can balance on this device."

"Proceed, cadet." A bald headed guy speaks. His eyes look like they're almost going to come out of his sockets. I strap the belt on and kick my legs in the air. "Woah, Eren you're kind of upside down!" "Miss Gojo, you're-" Eren moves forward only to be stopped by Shorty. "Don't. She's clearly unfit," Shorty glares, almost mockingly. I laugh. "Ooh, I didn't think it was that serious. Alright, give me another chance." I pull my sunglasses up as I get off the gear.

"No second chances, cadet," the stern faced bald man shouts. "Come on now, second chance, Mr Bald face?" I take off my sunglasses and look straight into his eyes and bat my eyelashes a bit. The man looks outright shocked before giving me a scowl. "Fine, just once more." I happily jump back on the gear and tighten the straps. "Youth these days.." I hear him mutter. Shortman did a 'tch' and Hange takes notes. Eren looks a bit concerned but that goes away once I balance perfectly. "See, here's your ODM balance. So boring. I still prefer being upside down," I roll my eyes and get off the gear. "... That was quite perfect.." The bald man comments. I give Eren a 'high five'.

Shortman doesn't look too happy. "Brat, do you know how to use ODM then?" I look at him and cross my arms "And what if I do?" "Then we can see how many titan dummies you can kill with the ODM gear on! Let's go!" Hange excitedly hands me ODM gear. I do some side lunge kinda stretches before turning towards the forest where I can see the titan dummies in the distance. "Miss Gojo be careful please," Eren says with his adorable worried face. "Don't worry I'm strong," I reassure him. I strap on the ODM gear and tighten the belts a bit. "Since the Survey corps are watching, I think I'll show off a little," I think out loud before blasting my gear and hooking it to the nearest tree. As I jump from tree to tree, I let out a excited laugh. Wow this is the adrenaline rush I missed from using ODM gear. The trees zoom past me as I fly like a soaring bird. And killing titan dummies isn't hard either. Just a quick slice in the nape is efficient. I increase my speed a bit. In the distance I hear some noises, maybe people talking. The wind around me starts to blow really fast for some reason. Anyway, I kill some dummies and land on ground.

"So yeah, how was that? Shall I go again?" I say while tipping my sunglasses a bit down at Hange. Hange stares with her mouth open at me before finally saying, "Unbelievable. That was the most titan dummies destroyed in the whole of survey corps!" Hange comes and squeezes the life out of me with a bone crushing hug. "Hange-san.. too.. much force-" I whine. Eren looks shocked too.

"You're overreacting Hange." Oh great, Shorty is here because he's jealous. I mean, of my kill count duh. "That used too much gas. And you need to take things seriously, you lunatic. Your cockiness will get you killed," he says while striding towards me.

"Cmon, don't give me that. I'm not interested in keeping a competition of sorts. Because if I do, I don't wanna be held responsible for your bruised ego."

"You- tch. Nevermind. It's a waste to deal with you," Levi replies in a rather annoyed tone.

"So shall we proceed with the tests or--"
"Absolutely not. Hange come with me." Levi wastes no time waiting for her as she flips out and struggles to keep up with his pace initially. I look at Eren. "What's with them?" Eren shrugs. "Maybe something came up. Let's go inside Miss Gojo. By the way, you were incredibly fast." "I suppose. Being incredibly fast makes me incredibly hungry too." Eren chuckles to that. We head inside and I find Ezra eating his lunch in a sour mood. When he spots us, he gives me an angry glare and leaves. Well yeah.. he hasn't talked to me since the trial. I have tried calling out to him and knocking on his dorm but he's too paranoid about people finding out his prior identity. What a coward.. I already told him it won't be a problem. Im sure he'll get around soon though.

"Erwin, spill everything you know about Azura Gojo, right now!" Levi slams his fist on Erwin's table impatiently. "Now hold on Levi, haven't I classified this as confidential?" Erwin replies. "I don't give a damn. That woman's a lunatic. She seems to enjoy killing those titan dummies. Doesn't she know those titans are the reason why our soldiers die almost every single expedition? Did you invite her here to get her killed?" Levi grits his teeth while Hange tries to calm him down. "Now now Levi, this is Erwin you're talking to.."

"I know damn well, four eyes. But let's be straight here. Eyebrows here, gave us the order to take over the warehouses alone. But I'm sure you knew Pride and Shadow would be guarding them, right?" Levi looks at Erwin who replies in the affirmative. "I believe I took a look at the test results as well. It can even be said she's holding back." Hange's mouth dropped. "No way Commander, her titan dummy kill is quite high already!"

"It's just a dummy kill, Hange. What if she freezes seeing a titan?" Levi asks and keeps his eyes on Erwin. "Well, lets state the facts you already know. Azura is quite a well known criminal amongst military police. Ezra is her partner but he's not known as much. What do you think they were doing in the warehouse?" Erwin's blue eyes met Levi's steel grey ones, as they both try to figure out what the other was thinking.

"Guarding it, of course," Levi finally states. "Why do you think so, Levi? The warehouse isn't theirs. They obviously used to work for someone. We couldn't locate their boss however. Their accomplices don't have much information on that subject. They most probably have no connection with their boss right now."

"Wait Erwin.." Hange starts. "Are you implying that Azura liked being a criminal? Or did she do it for the money?" "We can't say it's for sure, Hange. But I need you two to keep a close eye on both of them." The raven haired male grows frustrated. "Erwin damn it, tell us what you're not telling us already. Unless we know what that lunatic is truly capable of, we don't know what kind of danger you've put the survey corps in."

Erwin stands up and paces the room before taking out a file. "Here's everything you need to know about Azura Gojo. Ezra's will be kept confidential. I'm sure that's enough for you two." "Ooh, that's more than enough, Commander," Hange looks at the file. They both salute and exit, leaving Erwin in his thoughts.

"Oi four eyes. Get your titan obsessed ass here," Levi barks as Hange peaks over the file. "Oh.. my goodness, Levi.."
"I knew it.. that brat is nothing but trouble. Damn Erwin and his gambling.."
