"Captain Levi sir we need you in the main hall!"

Levi mutters something incoherently before dragging Hange almost immediately at the interruption. I look at Megumi in utter confusion, while the door is shut with a slam, creating an echo of the power used to close it. I motion my hand with my index finger pointing Megumi towards the chair next to the bed I am lying on.

"There's something off here, Sensei," Megumi says, with his finger on his chin and his thoughts scrambling in his head. I allow a glance at him with a look for him to continue.

"They say there's no information beyond the walls, right?"

"Indeed.."

"I met some locals the other day. Maybe a few roughed up from the thugs.."

"Don't tell me you beat them up," I laugh at Megumi while he looks away with a huff. He really did. I recall he can't stand bad guys.

"And, once we got to the alleys, they shared a book with me," he continues, ignoring my previous question.

"It had the sea in it. It seems not alot of them have access to these kinds of information. Moreover, it's banned."

"Banned? If there's no land beyond, there's obviously the sea. Is the government posing censorship over this basic knowledge?" I ask with an impatient tone, seeking answers.

"Apparently."

"You know, it's been on my mind since forever. If we had the luxury of seeing our world buzzing with countries, people, media, food and here it's just.. well.. three walls and titans outside. Makes no sense right?" I say in a quieter voice, sensing nearby doctors and potential eavesdroppers. This information shouldn't be out, yet. I have a lot of explaining to do as it is. I'm well aware it's a different time era but there's no way this island's the only container of humanity.

"Are you saying you miss social media and kikufuku?"

I slapped my head lightly, causing the  bandages to peel off a bit. That hurts too. Why did I do that? But he completely missed my point, and read my inner feelings too. I do miss scrolling reels and posting my beautiful pictures which gets a thousand likes. And eating strawberry mochi, kikufuku, ice-cream and so on..

"What I meant was, I think there's a world out there. This place is probably an island."

"Wow, thought you'd never figure that much."

"Just how dumb do you think I am!" I exclaim with a dramatic clench of my fist near my chest. But my face instantly transitions to one of seriousness and intensity. "I feel the cursed government knows this and is hiding it. But why? And the military police are the worst. And they're close to the capital.."

"Are you saying you want to visit the capital?" Megumi catches on to my hypothesis.

"Yes, Megumi. And through that, I'll find out the truth."

"But the survey corps? And you're not ready to use cursed energy yet. Moreover you're a thug to them. Not a solider." His words hit hard. That is true, I have to be ready to face them without cursed energy. Not like I doubt I'd get it under control,  but I don't want them to find out.

Just as I'm about to open my mouth to discuss further, the door swings open with a bam and two soldiers clothed in the familiar green cloak, enter the scene.

"Azura Gojo, you're under arrest under the command of the Military Police."

"Haha, brat. Looks like your little friends here are here to visit you. Don't even think of escaping," the guard at the prison door lazily steps aside to make way for Erwin and Levi who could practically break the iron bars off with how tight he's holding them.
