Chapter 9 I have no money

Two months later, Yu Yue met Xu Yuanzhe for the third time.

It was already winter, and Yu Yue happened to see a newly opened cat cafe nearby on his mobile phone. After school, he planned to go there alone, but as he couldn't find the way, he turned into a dark alley.

The alleys were interconnected and surrounded by dilapidated houses. Yu Yue was still trying to find the way when he heard a muffled sound and someone cursing not far away.

Not sure if it was intuition or something else, but Yu Yue felt that someone was beating someone over there.

He was probably still too naive, so he turned and ran in the direction of the sound, holding his mobile phone in his hand, thinking that he would call the police if anything happened.

It was an even darker alley, and a dead end. There were four big men blocking a man at the end, beating and kicking him. One of them had a stick in his hand and hit the man again and again.

The man had no ability to resist and kept protecting his face and head with his arms. His body was covered in blood and mud and he looked extremely miserable.

Yu Yue stood at the entrance of the alley and was about to call the police.

But the next moment he saw the man with the stick grabbed the man on the ground by the collar and pressed him against the wall. It was also at that moment that Yu Yue saw clearly the face of the man who was beaten.

It's Xu Yuanzhe!

Xu Yuanzhe had been hit in the face, there was blood at the corner of his mouth, his hair was disheveled, his eyes were lowered, he said nothing, and his chest was heaving violently.

Yu Yue's hand trembled.

Just as he was about to move forward, a hand reached out and pulled Yu Yue back.

Yu Yue turned around and found that it was a girl about his age.

Yu Yue asked: "Collect...collect debts?"

The girl frowned. "That guy... he owes money! We all know him. His family is very poor. This time it seems that because his grandmother was in the hospital, he borrowed money from those people outside, but he couldn't pay it back... You must not go there, in case you get beaten..."
