Their arrival to the Netherlands was anything but calm. The pier was chaotic, filled with royals from other nations, all in black to mourn the king's death.

Zach held onto Jack's arm tightly. They see a carriage with a footman standing in front of it. He had a piece of parchment with their name on it.

Jack tugged him to the carriage as he carried their bags. Zach tried to help him, but he refused. Their bags are put in the carriage, and Jack helps his lover enter it. Only then does he enter as well.

Zach sighs when the door closes. "Quite chaotic, is it not?" He chuckles. It starts moving.

Jack nods. "I can not wait until we get to our room so we can rest." He admits.

The brunet moves to sit by his side. He leans his head on his shoulder. He sighs happily. "I merely hope the food is good."

They chuckle. Jack intertwines their hands. "If it is not to your liking, I shall make sure it is."

"Oh, are you cooking for me again?"

Jack smiles. "I am afraid those were honeymoon privileges only." He teases.

Zach grins. "Then I believe we have must a second honeymoon." He lifts his head and turns his head toward him. "Should we not?"

"Two weeks where you are mine and only mine?" He questions. "Yes, we should have another honeymoon."

They chuckle. Zach presses a short kiss on his lips. "I am only yours despite us being on our honeymoon or not." He mumbles.

Jack leans on his forehead and hums. "I love you."

Another kiss. "I love you."

The carriage comes to a stop in front of the palace. Jack steps out of the carriage and helps him with a loving smile on his face.

Jack stretches out his arm for him to loop in around his. "Let us go, Viscount Torrington."

They walk up the stairs to the palace, and their smiles drop. The atmosphere was so grim that one could feel it.

"Viscount and Viscount Torrington. Welcome." The governess bows to them. "Did you have a good journey here?"

"It was traquil." Zach reassures.

"How is Corbyn-" The prince. How is the prince?" Jack is quick to ask.

"His royal highness is to marry tomorrow."

Their eyes widen. "Marry tomorrow?" Jack questions.

"It is rule that the king must be married to take over the kingdom. He must produce an heir within a year as well."

Zach once more feels the bitter taste on his mouth.

"Does he, at least, know whom he is marrying?" He questions.

"She is the daughter of a Baron." The governess confirms. "Southampton."

Jack's eyebrows rise. "Christina." He mumbles. "She did not tell me."

"It was a rather... fast negotiation. It was decided two days ago."

"Has she arrived already?"

"I am afraid the bride is not to be seen until the ceremony." The governess clears her throat. "Please follow me to your quarters."

"It is just one room with one bed, correct?" Jack questions.

"As requested by the prince, yes."

The three walk to their room, as they appreciate the art pieces in the walls. the lavish red carpets. The beautiful tapestries.
