"What happened to Tauriel?" Kili asked immediately, his mind imagining the worst.

"They have captured her."

"Who is the they you are speaking of?"

Legolas was silent, and he just stared up at the pink sky which was fading into a pale orange. Kili didn't know how to react to this situation. He didn't even know who had taken Tauriel. Were they Orcs? Goblins? Wargs? He needed Legolas to answer him. He needed to conjure up a plan right away.

"We do not know the origins of the creatures," Legolas spoke finally.

"How shall I track them down then? Why have you come to me without answers?"

Then Kili saw three silhouettes struggling down the hill, and he could see small yellow symbols on one of them. He had never seen such vivid yellow symbols before, so he got discouraged. If he had no prior knowledge of the creature's kind, he would not be able to find Tauriel. Once the three people were in view, he saw two woodland elves, and a struggling stunning white lion creature.

Its claws were the size of an elven hand; its teeth matching that. There were yellow symbols piercing all over its white fur; it all meant something, but Kili could not interpret the language. Its eyes were an emerald green; they were striking and unique. The lion had a furry white tail like a wolf which didn't match most of its profile. Its legs were also unusually skinny. The cry it made sounded like a hurt baby rabbit which Kili found very repulsive.

Legolas waited with the two elves as Kili observed the lion creature. It was the most profound creature he had ever laid his eyes on.

"One of these lions has stolen Tauriel?"

"Indeed, ask it a question. It will answer," Legolas said.

"Why have you kidnapped my Tauriel?" Kili questioned the lion.

"I am not to speak of anything related to Taurip."

"It is Tauriel! Not pronounced like turnip," Kili snarled.

The creature did not cower, nor did it even flinch. Kili wondered what the elves had been doing to this lion for it to be so stone-like. Its eyes were focused on the sky; blank and stubborn. It would not be giving much information. Then Kili thought of something to do. He stuck his pocket dagger against the lion's throat.

"Give me information."

"Kill me... I will never give away information."

Kili was tempted, but he tucked away the knife, and put his attention on the three elves. They were talking, and looking at Kili at the same time.

"Let it go," One commanded.

"I will not just let such a creature escape, and announce to other creatures what we have been talking about."

The elf said, be nice, then winked. Kili understood, and told the beast to be gone. It ran away, and howled. He knew it would be only a few minutes before it found its master.

"Legolas... I am short of time. I do not know if I will be able to go after Tau..."

"You must, and what is this of short time?"

"I am to go to Rivendell."

"If you are to go, go after we find Tauriel. It will make much more sense to do that. I know how Elrond behaves though when someone is late, so I will go before you to announce what had come up," He proclaimed.
