A/N: I bet you're like, 'Finally another chapter'. I know it has been a while since I last updated. I started a new story; that is part of the problem. Another part is, school is going to be starting soon for me, so I'm reading and preparing. So yeah. I hope you enjoy this chapter. Vote and comment!

"Fly! Fly Kili, I must leave you here. I bid you farewell," Gandalf's face had turned pale. They were weaving down a long travel that was leading them straight to Rivendell. The light had faded from the sky, and an eerie moon replaced the sun. Kili had felt something, but it must have been more revealing to Gandalf. Gandalf wiped his face, and stooped down to Kili's height. "I am sorry for this relinquishment, but it is now up to you to stop the Kino."

"Alas, it is not up to me to hold your destiny. Farewell dear Gandalf. May the wind blow behind you," Kili sighed, and embraced the wizard.

Kili turned back towards the path, and drew in the night air. He convinced himself to not sleep until he reached Rivendell. The night air persuaded him hours later when it was pitch black to fall in a deep sleep. He did not awake until noon which set him back five hours. That did not bring up his spirits.

"Oh if only Gandalf was here. A wizard knows all, and all knows the wizard," He shook his head and gathered his possessions. "The road is perilous ahead, but I will walk with valor."

The sun was now above Kili, and he ventured down the path which Gandalf had called, 'Redin Road'.  It had many obstacles including wild beasts that would jump out of nowhere. Kili got used to this ongoing surprise. He held his bow close to his side. He was thankful of Thranduil's weapon at that time.

Then all ceased. The land was silent. Kili stopped, confused, and alert. He finally could hear something, but it was not a welcoming sound. Horns were blaring. A war had started. Kili could hear the screams, and the malice that was going on. Even the whizzing of arrows could be heard. Kili raced down the path; he grabbed for an arrow. The sight that he had come upon was a sight no dwarf wants to see. Dwarves were fighting against men clad in silver armor. The men could only be one thing; Gondor soldiers. Why had they come so far up North? It made no sense to Kili. It also made no sense that they were battling what looked like Eastern dwarves.

Kili got closer to the fighting. He knew for certain that the men were from Gondor because of their armor, but he actually didn't know for certain about the dwarves. They had odd armor, and their weapons looked nothing like the weapons forged by the Eastern dwarves. They almost looked as though they were forged by men.

Then Kili put the pieces together. This was the group. This was the Kino group. He still did not understand what was going on. Then he felt a hand graze his shoulder. He turned, and was relieved to see Tauriel.

"Why are you here?" He asked, but Tauriel said something else.

"The creatures that had captured me are growing. Word is spreading about them. They are said to be conspiring with the Kino. After they defeat the Gondor soldiers, it is said that they will be taking over Rivendell. Some people say they will be trying to take over several kingdoms, but they wanted to first take out the most powerful one."

"Tauriel! We must help the soldiers! We can't let the Kino take over the kingdoms of Middle Earth," Kili said grabbing his bow.

"Kili, it is not our fight yet. You have other duties. Go warn Rivendell of all that was said."

"At least try to hold back the army," Kili begged.

"I will do my best, Kili," Tauriel kissed his forehead.

Kili headed toward Rivendell which was so close now. He spotted an entrance, and ran to it. The gate was shut. Kili knocked on it, and asked permission for entry. A soft voice came from far above him. It didn't seem that happy.
