"Just pass them as quickly as possible," Kili yelled at Carasdir who was slowing down drastically.

Kili speed up, and was right on Carasdir's heel. The beasts began to shoot right as they were passing. They followed them with surprising speed. Kili could feel himself get hit in the ankles. It hurt so badly, but he knew he had to keep going. Carasdir only got hit in the leg once because Kili was getting all the shots. Once they got away from the creatures, Kili collapsed.

Tauriel told Carasdir to let her down. She walked slowly and painfully to Kili. Tauriel took out leaves, and placed them all over Kili's legs which were covered in poison.

"You will be alright," She cooed, stroking Kili's hair. He was panting, and shivering. His eyes shut.

"Is he okay?" Carasdir asked as Kili shut his eyes.

"He will be fine, but we need to move. I can hear the Orcs," Tauriel said.

Carasdir picked up Kili, and followed Tauriel as she ran down the path. She was even faster than Carasdir. Kili groaned, and it felt like his legs were burning away. Tauriel told Kili over and over again to stay awake, but he felt his eyes droop.

"You must stay awake!"

He drifted off into the darkness of sleep.

-------------------------

"He's awake!" Carasdir cheered.

Kili's eyes were open ajar. He didn't know where he was because he was lying on a bed that looked like a gigantic cloud. Then he saw Thranduil sitting in the corner of the small room he was in. Tauriel was talking to him, but when Carasdir, who was on the edge of Kili's bed, said he was awake, she ran over, and hugged Kili placing small kisses on his face. Kili couldn't feel anything of his body, so he just laid there smiling.

"You may not feel much, but it will all come back soon," She stated, grinning happily.

"So I heard that you killed Condir," Thranduil said, standing up briskly.

"He got poisoned," Kili growled.

"That is not how I see it. You killed another of my elven kind. Are you trying to genocide us woodland elves?"

"Condir was poisoned by creatures that we didn't know would be on the path, king," Kili said.

Tauriel came beside Thranduil, and tried to pull him away from Kili. Thranduil snarled; he pushed Tauriel back, and came up to Kili.

"I want you and your dwarves dead!"

"And what will you do if we kill you first?"

"I will not die before you, mortal."

Carasdir rushed up to Thranduil, and said something in his ear that made Thranduil back away from Kili. Thranduil talked to Carasdir for a while in a serious manner.

"I love you," Tauriel whispered, sitting on the edge of Kili's bed. "Thank you for saving me."

"I am beyond the word love for you Tauriel. You are my everything. I will never let anything hurt you again," Kili murmured, kissing Tauriel's cheek softly.

Thranduil disappeared out of the room; Carasdir right behind him. They both wore the same stern expression. What was happening? It looked serious. Even Tauriel looked stern.

"What is happening?"

"Nothing," She said, her voice cracking. She was lying to him. He could tell.
