After hours of trying on different outfits and hairstyles with Wanda, we finally find the perfect ones and go our separate ways to get ready for the evening.

Once dad told me about this 'Peter Parker' kid, I did some research on him just incase I actually have to interact with him. Turns out, he's 16, his birthday is August 10th- making him a Leo, he attends the same school i'm going to attend, and he lives with his aunt May after his parents died in a plane crash. Ouch.

No other interesting facts came up so after an hour I got bored and worked more on my suit I'm designing for myself- which dad obviously knows nothing about.
I've wanted to be an avenger for ages, but of course my dad said no.

So, I'll become my own hero. The suit is a deep crimson red with gold lining and small but powerful repulsors in the hands and feet. I wanted something to match my dad, he is my hero after all, whilst it also being me.

Whilst i'm finishing doing my hair, I can't help thinking about the intern. Although I'm dreading meeting him, since the only thing we have in common is our love for science- which i do not intend on talking about at a party, I can't help but be intrigued by him.

I finally make a start on my makeup, still thinking about how he's going to completely ruin the mood of the party- even if that's not his intention.
Sighing, I put on Reneé rap to distract myself since her music always manages to cheer me up.

I was just a tourist
You got to be a big hometown hero
Made you feel important
Still stuck in your high-school yearbook

I sing along to the lyrics that are engraved in my mind, the melodies washing over me like a gentle wave, soothing my soul with each note.
The melody wraps around me like a warm embrace, cocooning me in a world of comfort and tranquillity.

As the lyrics resonate in my ears, I feel a sense of peace settle within me, a welcomed respite from the chaos of the day.

Why'd we have to cover so much ground?
You showed me around
As far as I'm concerned, they should just burn the whole city down
