The Group

We came across a playground with a parking lot full of cars. I sat on the beach watching as Changbin and Chan tried to get any of these cars to start.

Some of the boys began to complain about their feet hurting. I also was tired, but didn't want to complain now that I was part of this 'group'.

I only followed behind them because what else was I to do. Maybe being in a group would be nice for a change. I could be really good friends with these guys. Or maybe in the long run we become enemies. Either way it was different.

It was nice hearing someone else talk. Amongst themselves and also including me. Hearing my name, it was nice.

"Thirsty?" Seungmin offered a water bottle to me

"Oh no thanks, I'm fine"

I was hoping he would maybe walk away and offer it to someone else. Instead his sat beside me on the bench. Watching as none of the cars worked.

"I voted yes by the way"

"What?" I asked even though I knew what he meant

"I said you should have joined. Mainly because of Dobby, he seems pretty cool" he shrugged

I smiled watching Dobby sit on a hood of a car while Felix and Han talked to him about god knows what. Dobby seemed pretty happy.

He got used to Felix quick. Jumping on his head and pouncing on Hyunjin making him scream like a little girl. I still wanted to laugh. I think for a couple of miles we walked no one could keep in their laughter. It only pissed Hyunjin off more.

"Felix likes you a lot"

"What?" I asked for real this time

"You say what a lot"

"You say things that make me say what"

He shrugged, "far enough. Just saying Felix would not stop talking about you. It was like watching a kid opening up a birthday present"

"He seems very cheerful" I commented

"He's the sunshine of the group. He can be serious when needed, but he's usually just a ray of sunshine" he said in disgust

I laughed lightly at Seungmin childish behavior. I definitely saw Felix as the sunshine in the group as Seungmin put it.

When I ran into him in the store I wouldn't have thought that. Especially with his voice and a knife to my throat. I would have thought he'd murder me right then and there.

"Who voted no?" I asked

"Hyunjin of course. Also Chan and Minho"

"Really?" I said kinda shocked, "I mean I kind of expected that"

"Chan watches out for us. Minho is basically his right hand man along with Changbin. Whatever Chan says they go along with it" he explained

"Then why didn't Changbin say no?"

"He has a soft spot. So does Chan and Minho, but he's really just a big teddy bear. Changbin is more, how do I put this, the easier to manipulate hyung"

I hummed in response. Note taken. Changbin is easy to manipulate. Just play a scared little girl and I could easily get away with things. If I ever needed to.

Seungmin and I spoke a little longer. More about the group. Minho and Han were super close, same for Felix and Hyunjin.

Apparently they all lived in Korea but traveled to America a while back. Seungmin didn't really give me an answer why. Just said they got board of what was over in Korea.
