Blanket Fort

"This isn't bad Koi. You can be our inside person"

I shook my head at Han who crawled under our fort we made, "why would I need to be an inside person?"

"Because we don't know these people"

"He's right!" Chan shouted from the kitchen

I sighed as I propped my head into my hands. I looked over at Minho who laid beside Han, "what do you think Minho?"

"It's good to know what's going on around here. If something were to happen then you'd probably be the first to know"

"She told me I wasn't allowed in any of their meetings"

"So what?" Hyunjin said crawling in and laying on his stomach beside me, "you would still know more than anyone here"

"It's such a boring job" I complained, "all she did was show me around and have me meet all these people. I don't even remember their names"

By this time we were all under our fort we made with blankets and pillows. Chan helped I.N bring in the snacks and drink, while Donny sat in the middle of us all chowing down on some cereal in a box"

"Boring or not, we need you to continue doing it" Chan said, "you may not like it now, but I'm sure it'll get better"

"I wonder why she chose you?" Changing said taking a bit of something in a bag

"Jealous?" I teased

"Yes actually, it's better than what I have to do"

Chan, Changbin and Minho got assigned as one of the guards. They would watch the inside of the community and also the outside.

They were allowed to have weapons which is why Chan liked that idea of doing it. Whenever they go in for their shifts, they would go to this warehouse looking building where all the weapons and cars were stored.

I guess they also could get intel about stuff, like me. We didn't know these people, and I'm sure all the boys were worried this place could be like their home back in Korea.

"What were you assigned Seungmin?" Chan asked

"I help out in the hospital with I.N. It's not that bad actually"

"How come everyone gets to work with one another? This is so unfair" I whined

Felix raised his hand, "I'm alone"

"Me too" Han and Hyunjin said together

"I have to work on anything that breaks. I don't know how to do any of that stuff" Hyunjin said, "cars, houses, even broken furniture. It's all too much"

"That does suck" Han laughed, "I gotta work in one of those stores that sell random things. My partner isn't so bad though"

"Who's your partner?" Minho demanded a little too quickly

"I get to work in the barn with the animals" Felix said happily

"There's animals!" I.N and I both said

"Yes! There's pigs, goats, horses, and chickens" Felix said counting with his fingers, "I'll teach you how to ride the horses Koi"

"What about me?" Han asked like he wasn't even there

"Felix doesn't even know how to ride a horse Han. Don't get too upset" Chan spoke

"He doesn't even know how to drive" I snickered with Hyunjin

"Speaking about driving" Chan eyed Felix, "did you fix those mailbox's?"

"I've been busy working, Chan"

Seungmin cleared his throat, "what about you guys? I get you're happy about having weapons and all but, won't you get board just standing there?" He asked towards the three

Changbin shrugged eating a snack, "it may get boring, but this gives us a chance to get to know others"

"He's right" Chan agreed, "we've already meet with so many people, the more we know the better"

"Or less the better" I mumbled making everyone look at me, "what?"

"We didn't know anything back in Korea, look where that got us" Chan said looking directly into my eyes

I know he means well. I also know he has a soft spot for me, but if looks could kill. I swear a chill went down my spine.

He knows I know very little of Korea. Only the big main part to get me to trust them. I did feel bad for them.

"What if you didn't know though?" I said quietly as I played with my fingers

"What do you mean?" I.N asked

I shrugged, "if you guys didn't know about the deal, then-"

"But we did know, Koi" Chan said a bit more angrily getting out of the fort we had made

We all watched as I wiggled myself out walking after him, hearing footsteps behind me, "but what if you didn't!"

"We all would've ended up like Hyunjin!" Chan yelled turning around

I stopped dead in my tracks. Not because I got yelled at, but because I was stupid enough to forget what happened to Hyunjin. They even lost a friend during that time no one spoke about.

"I-I'm sorry Hyunjin, I didn't-"

"It's fine" Hyunjin quickly spoke

"What I meant was we all could have been either killed or mind controlled by those bastards" he said looking at me and then the boys, "just because this place looks safe, does not mean it is"

I get that. I do, but what is they were making deals with the aliens. I had an alien friend. That doesn't make me a bad person.

Even Hyunjin had some weird spikes from the aliens. That doesn't make him a bad person. All I wanted to say was maybe not everything to do with them was bad. All we come across is bad and no good.

"I'm getting tired, I thinking I'm going to head out"

I turned around as I watch Hyunjin pointed to the door behind him. He was upset, he looked it. What Chan had said hurt him. Even if it was an accident or he didn't mean anything by it.

Chan nodded, "I think we should all go get some rest. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow"

With that Hyunjin walked out quickly with Felix following behind him. Minho dragged Han away who looked like he wanted to say something but was afraid to do so.

"Sorry Koi" I.N said softly headed towards his room along side Seungmin who just looked sad

Now it was just me alongside Chan and Changbin. Changbin cleared his throat at the awkward and left towards the door.

I wanted to say something to Chan only to be brushed past him. I always mess things up. I was doing so good, and I couldn't keep my mouth shut.

It was my fault Hyunjin was upset along side the others. I know they've been through so much that's caused them trauma. I fear I've only made it worse.
