The First Night Out

I quickly got off the cart and hugged the ground, "I thought I was never going to make it"

"It wasn't even bad"

"It was Felix, you took out a couple of mail boxes on the way here" Hyunjin agreed picking me off the ground

"Then you drive back and tell me how it goes" he threw the keys to Hyunjin which he caught

"Whoah, look" I pointed to the town lit up

It really was beautiful. All the buildings porch light were on. Lamps hanging all over the place for street light.

It was a busy night out tonight. The perfect weather too. Now that the sun was gone, it wasn't hot but a nice warm temperature.

People pulled around the hundreds of concession stand filling up the streets. Little lights hung from one stand to another. People walking around with things that glowed on them.

"This is awesome" Felix said looking around

"We should've invited the others" I stated

"We can go back-"

"No!" I pulled Felix and Hyunjin by their hands, "it's too late to turn back now. They can go another time"

We walked over to where everyone was at. We stopped looking around at where to go, or maybe we stopped because it's something we weren't used to.

"So uh, what do we do?" Felix asked

I shrugged, "I don't know. I thought you guys would know"

"How could you invite us somewhere and not know what we're doing" I hit Hyunjin chest hearing him cackling along with Felix

"Let's go back"

"No way, let's just walk" Felix said walking in front of me

I started to get nervous. There were a lot of people here. They all seemed to be having a good time, but what if it was all an act.

I looked around more, it's like we weren't even here. No one was looking at us. Maybe they knew we got here today. Or maybe they don't even notice the new people considering how many people live here.

"It's okay Koi, no need to get nervous"

"Stop reading my feelings Hyunjin" I huffed

"I don't read them, only feel"

I shook my head, "that doesn't make it any better"

"How about this" Felix said grabbing my hand and pulling me into the crowd, "let's just look around for a bit. We can leave if you don't feel comfortable after a few"

I nodded in agreement staying close to Felix with Hyunjin right behind us. The more I looked, the better I felt.

Everyone here was happy. I've never seen happy people on this earth. The boys were happy at times, but it changed when we were on the outside.

Felix walked up to one stand. I looked past a few people and looked to see wooden figures on a table. The guy behind the table held a knife in his hand while carving a piece of wood. I guess he made them.

"Look at this" Felix said pulling me along with him

I grabbed Hyunjins hand too scared we'd lose him in the crowd. We followed behind Felix as he took us across the street to another stand.

"Hats"

I looked past Felix seeing all the different types of hats. There were tall ones, ones with feathers, all different colors. There was even one made out of what looked to be plastic.
