Shit, this is bad.
Killua was at Midnight's side in an instant, his eyes examining her wounds. Her ribcage was completely crushed, although by some miracle none of them impaled any of her organs. Midnight coughed, eyes wide with the shock and the pain. Killua quickly shredded one of the sleeves off his hero costume. He'd specifically designed them so that in the heat of battle, they could be used as bandages. Killua could do nothing for the broken bones but he could stop the bleeding. "I-I'm sorry, I'm sorry. You need to get to recovery girl." Killua bit out, his voice drawing thin. "I d-didn't mean to hit you that hard..!" He stammered, panic starting to overtake him. Killua shoved his emotions away as best as he could, focusing on the task at hand.
His heart hammered in his chest as he quickly tied the makeshift bandage over the open wound in her stomach. Damn it, I just can't stop fucking up can I? He didn't much care about hiding his Nen anymore, Killua couldn't let Midnight die. Not after it was his fault she was in this state to begin with. Killua took in a deep shaky breath, pressing his hands onto her stomach and letting his Aura flow into her body. Killua had practiced healing both others and himself with his Nen a little, but not enough to be a master at it. He couldn't set broken bones, or undo what he'd done to Midnight, but he could at least try to stop the bleeding until Recovery Girl got there.
"MIDNIGHT!"
He heard a shout from behind him. That was Shota. Killua didn't stop the healing process, but he called out to his homeroom teacher. "Almost all her ribs are broken, and there's a hole in her stomach-" Killua was shoved out of the way as several pro heroes crowded around Midnight. He reached a hand out, about to get back on his feet to go help them. But, what good would that do? I'm not suited for this life, am I? He thought, negative emotions swirling around in his head. Killua got to his feet and walked away quickly, then started running. It wasn't just that he didn't belong there, he didn't deserve to be there either. As much as Iida, Midoriya, and Todoroki's mistrust hurt, they were right.
Killua would always be a murderer. It was simply in his nature.
~~~~~~~~Gon's PoV~~~~~~~~~
"Gon sweetie! Welcome home." His aunt Mito smiled, welcoming him in with open arms. Gon gave her a half hearted smile, accepting her embrace. "Hey aunt Mito." Mito frowned, placing a hand on his head. "What's the matter, Gon?" Gon tightened his grip around her. There's only one more option, and I have to take it. No matter the risks. Gon had wanted to try this sooner, but Leorio had convinced him to wait at least another month or two. "It's ok. But...you might not see me for a while." Gon said, his mouth going dry.
Mito's face creased with worry, and she planted a soft kiss on his forehead. "I haven't seen you in months, dear." Gon took in a deep breath, staring up at his aunt with a grave expression. "I know. But this time it...it might be a really long time. Killua's gone missing, and I'm not coming back until I find him." Mito's eyes widened in shock and concern. "Oh no. Be careful Gon, don't do anything reckless alright?" Gon bit his tongue, he didn't want to lie to his aunt but he also didn't want her to try and stop him. "Yeah. Just...wanted to come say goodbye."
That was partially true, he did want to say goodbye to his aunt Mito. But that wasn't the main reason he went to visit her. Gon let her hold him for a good while, before gently pulling away. "I've got to go now." She looked at him with pleading eyes. "Listen, please Gon. I know you'd do anything for that boy, but don't....don't get yourself killed for him, alright?" I mean I'm not trying to get killed. "You two really have an incredible bond. Like brothers." Mito said, her eyes a little watery. "Or perhaps...more than that." She added, in a soft tone.
Gon gave his aunt one last smile, before exiting his childhood home. "I love you, Aunt Mito! I promise I'll come back with Killua." He called over his shoulder. As soon as the door shut, his smile faded. He was going to find Killua, or die trying. Gon would accept no less. Where are you, Alluka? Killua's little sister had been entrusted to his aunt right before Killua up and vanished off the face of the earth. However, she wasn't in the house when Gon had arrived there. He took a deep breath through his nose, closing his eyes and focusing as he tried to locate her scent.
There!
He locked onto her scent and ran through the trees, keeping himself focused. Eventually, he came upon Alluka sitting in the grass, weaving flowers together. As he approached, she turned her head curiously. "Gon? Hi! Have you seen big brother? I really miss him." She whined, pouting up at him. Gon stared at her for a few moments, trying his hardest to keep the intensity out of his eyes. "Alluka, you're big brother is missing. And I need your help to find him."
Alluka's eyes widened, and she struggled to her feet. "Huh? Really?" She exclaimed. Gon nodded, placing a hand on her shoulder. She was pretty much the same height as him, despite being younger than him. "I need you to tell Nanika to ask me for requests, or something. However that works. I need a wish." He pleaded. Alluka hesitated, shaking her head quickly. "No I can't! It's really dangerous, you mean a lot to big brother I can't do that." Gon gritted his teeth a little, the desperation starting to make itself evident in his posture and in his voice. "Alluka, I need to find him."
She slowly nodded, then hugged Gon tightly. "I...ok. But I can't control how hard the requests are. You know that right?" Gon nodded, taking in a deep breath. "Yes, I do. I'm willing to take the chance." I will come save you Killua. He vowed. Slowly, Alluka seemed to zone out. Gon waited with as much patience as he could muster for Alluka to speak to Nanika. After a moment, Alluka slowly stepped away from him. Her arms outstretched, hands gently cupping as she stared at him. "Gon." She said, with a soft smile.
"Give me your right ring finger, please?"
