Grace's POV
°°°°°°°°° °°°°°The cops came forward and started questioning the students. Shit they will spill the truth though. It will all end here what's the point of the act?
That's what I thought until...
"Sorry? It's my first time seeing this girl right now?"
"No I didn't see her there in the fight."
"They are right, I saw her sitting with those boys, eating her lunch."
"No, I don't think she was at the scene."
"Was she even there? I've never seen her before."
"The lights went out during lunch so I didn't see her."
"I couldn't even make a video!!! The lights were off nothing came in the camera."
At this point I couldn't believe my ears.
This can't be real. They are all in it? How? Why? The 'lights-gone' thing is a total lie too. Why did they lie about th-Wait.
How did I miss it????
IT ISN'T A LIE.
I exclaimed internally as I realized why this was said. Some cops came with some mobile phones. The light did went off in the midst of the fight. Now I remember it.
"Sir, no strong evidences were found. There are some videos in which we can only see these and some other girls fighting and on the floor. Not her. Everyone said they couldn't record anything else because the lights were gone." A cop said.
Exactly. It is impossible that no videos are made if something this huge happens. It would've been suspicious to the cops if no videos were found. That's why they came up with that!!!!
Holy moly. Too much is going on. It's hard for my brain to interpret. The chief nodded. "Alright, Ma'am I'm sorry to say but I think your children are lying." The chief said turning to the parents who were shocked but pretty much convinced.
Since the electricity was out, they'll be no CCTVs either.
"I apologize to waste your time Ms. Lee. Guards, open the doors, let the youth depart." The chief said to our incharge, then to the guards. The gates opened as the students jumped out in freedom.
The girls started complaining but this time no one was listening to them. The cops dragged them out while the parents went in with the incharge to talk about their punishment. They finally experienced some injustice in their lives. Serves them right I guess? I mean I'm still stunned though.
How did everything happen? And why...why are they particularly involved in saving me. Not in the crowd but here by my side.
My brain starts to bring back thoughts from the detention room earlier. Damn I feel so grateful to all of them but I feel like crying again.
Everybody left. But skz is still here.
Yeonjun is still holding my hand. He lets it go but I don't. I didn't leave it. He takes my hand and wraps it around himself, embracing me in a soft hug while caressing my head. I put all my weight on his chest for a minute and hugged him tighter."It's okay. Nothing happened, we're all good. You're all good. Don't worry."
He said as I controlled my tears and broke the hug. I looked at him and asked. "What is all this?! How?""I'll explain but they played a big part in it too." He said, whispering the last part.
Big part?
