Hyunjin's POV
°°°°°°°°°°°° °°°°°We finished eating and got our shoes on.
"Alright we're going now. See you later guys." She said to the fellas inside.
"Where are you going?" Beomgyu asked. The one who was whispering in her ear the first day, who was sitting dangerously close to her that day. He's really nosy in other's business I believe.
"Umm.. somewhere. Ask Yeonjun. Goodbye." She swept out of the door as I followed behind. I was given the passenger seat. I sat in it myself, trying not to grunt, it still hurts pretty bad.We both pushed our seatbelts and she revived the car.
"Why did you lie to Yeonjun? That we're meeting others.""He definitely would've disapproved if I'd told him I'm taking you to the hospital." She said, focusing in the front. I understand he must be worried about her, hanging out with me in this situation. I shouldn't have let her get involved in this.
"Hey I think you shoul-"
"Speaking of the others, didn't you get any calls from them? Asking where you are?" She asked as it struck me.
"Oh yeah, Changbin hyung did leave a message today at nine. But do you know what it was?" I asked as she shrugged."'Are you with Grace?'"
I said as she scoffed.
"Tch! Unbelievable. They're not even worried about you?? You've been gone since half a day."
"That's how it is usually." I bluntly said and she shook her head, I could tell she was not having it meanwhile I secretly admired her side profile, her sharp carved jawline that could cut diamonds, the silky bangs covering her forehead, tiny mole above her lips, the slight blush creeping upon her face, giving it rosey look. her kind eyes that looked out for cars, headlights, others, her loved ones, strangers, the ones who hurt her...me.
The sunlight striked her face, making her glow. It's true when they say when you know how pretty the person is from inside, they instantly become beautiful to you in every way. Though she was always gorgeous. Today, I hugged her unconsciously but I'm glad she accepted it, in pity maybe. It felt so warm and sweet that I didn't wanted to let go, ever. It felt like home. She felt like home. I almost teared up that moment because I missed her so much. I missed her touch as soon as I left her, the way she gently stroked my hair and let me rest on her neck, she even smelled so good. She handled my insensitive behavior once again.
"Well actually Changbin and Felix do interact a little with me. They still sometimes defend me which I'm grateful for." I said, trying to make her feel better. "Oh, that's nice." She said while nodding, but I still don't see a spark on her face.
"By the way, you kicked some ass the other day." I said keenly."What?"
"The first day." I said, reminding her.
She finally remembered and chuckled a bit, sounded mendacious as I tried to read her expression. Something bothered her when I said that."Also thank you for helping me that day. I would've been in jail right now." She said.
"Are you okay?" I asked, cautiously shifting my position and placing my hand on her hand, that laid on her thigh. She nodded spontaneously, trying to assure me but her expression still spoke otherwise. She's keeping it but I realized something. She learned to fight so that she could prevent her history from repeating...because of the trauma. My heart sank at the thought and my mouth couldn't move to force her so I kept quiet and removed my hand.
"Also, I don't know if I'm ready to meet the others today." She said with uncertainty her tone.
"Yeah, it's okay. You don't have to. Take your time, I'll convince them."
