Supercut- Lorde
"i'm something you maybe might love"

———

Emma Monet didn't think she was untalented, she just didn't think she deserved everything that came to her. After working in two hollywood films, she was immediately in the radar for most directors in the industry. She didn't even do these movies to be put in on the map, she just loved to act. Emma decided that hollywood wasn't all she wanted to do, she started her career in high school musical theater. She wanted to continue, move forward, go to the big city and do what she loved. Live preforming. Live singing, acting and dancing. Broadway!

——

Emma moved to the big city just only a month ago, and her phone was currently ringing in her new apartment she shared with her best friend, Violet.

"Emma! You ever gonna answer that call!" Violet screamed from their shared kitchen.

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" Emma responded, running into the kitchen from the bathroom with soaked hair and a towel around her body.

Emma wiped her hands on the towel to make sure they were dry before picked up the call. She checked the number— unknown caller. She answered and put the phone on speaker, to prevent it from getting wet from her hair.

"Hello?" Emma asked.

"Is this Emma Monet" a woman spoke through the phone.

"This is she"

"I'm Charlotte Manning, i'm calling from my agency. You should have been expecting my call, I told your previous agency that i was interested."

Emma's face started beaming at the mention of a female agent, but soon turned to a scowl at the mention of her old agency.

You see, Emma's old agent, Benjamin, began a relationship with her. Emma figured it wouldn't hurt anything, if they broke up, they could continue to work together. They were both professionals, right?

Wrong. When Emma ended the relationship because of Benji's serious issues in many ways, he lost it. He told her she would never get a job ever again. He would try and get her blacklisted from future projects.

Emma, being the positive thinker she always is, took this as a sign to move on. Quit Hollywood acting and start new in New York. On broadway!

"Oh. Well, I don't really keep in touch with my old agency. But i'm pleased to hear somebody is interested!" Emma replied, beaming.

"Yes, well, I was wondering if you were interested? Would you want to work together? You can come in today or tomorrow if you would like!" Charlotte asked.

"Today works great! I'll head out soon! Really looking forward to it!" Emma said, trying to not let the excitement show in her voice. However, she failed miserably.

——

Taking the subway to the office was probably the longest 4 minutes Emma has ever experienced. She couldn't wait to meet this woman and get involved into something real.

As she arrived she couldn't wipe the smile off her face.

"Miss Monet?" a voice called from behind her.

Emma turned to see a redheaded woman who had wrinkles on her four head and around her mouth and eyes, showing that she smiled a lot.

Emma always noticed things like that. She loved that when you look at a person, you could see all they have experienced in their life.

The woman that Emma was facing was taller than Emma, which wasn't rare, and was wearing big circle glasses.

"Hi! Call me Emma, please. I assume you're Charolette?"

"Well, Hello, Emma. Yes I am Charolette. Follow me into my office." Charolette responded with a kind smile.

Charolette's office was filled with plants, fitting her personality well. Emma could tell that Charolette and her would get along very well.

Before Emma left she through on a baggy, patterned yellow sweater and thick blue jeans.

Funnily enough, Charolette was wearing something quite similar. That's how Emma knew this meeting would be worth her while.

——

Once Emma returned home she ran to Violets room to tell her the news.

"I've got an agent and some job opportunities."
