These are their causal wear. Soviet dresses were popular with Chinese women in the 50s, so that's what Liaoxi is wearing, while Liaotung is wearing a more causal errenzhuan outfit.

In 1954, Liaoxi and Liaotung were merged back into one province, Liaoning, which they had been before. This is her modern day outfit. She still performs errenzhuan with Jilin, and is a poet laureate. She has a pen attached to her shirt, and frequently writes snippets of poetry on her arms when she doesn't have her notebook.

Made such a good pasta last night. I'm going to share it with you.

Caramelize onions
Add garlic, wait for it to turn golden
Add tomato paste
Add Lao Gan Ma; fry
Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder
Add coconut milk
Add cheese. Real cheese. I don't care if you have to take out a loan or you're lactose intolerant. Suffer for the taste, like I do.
Boil noodles. Any type. Udon, radiatori, ramen. I think because it's a sauce, Italian noodles would work better, because udon tends to slide out of sauces.
Consume or give it to people. I really like cooking, but I'm neutral towards eating. Which is unfortunate since I have no idea how to eye portions. I had to eat borsch for seven days straight once. One bowl in the morning, one at night. I ate nothing else. But it was really good borsch, so I'm not complaining.

WAIT I FORGOT I PUT FISH SAUCE IN IT. COMRADES NOOO DON'T FORGET THE FISH SAUCE IT TIES IT ALL TOGTEHR IT'S UMAMI
