Pokemon Teams

This is inspired by a conversation hehe. Every Pokemon I think the main characters of my books would have. This is something that people won't care about, but that I put too much thought into not to post.
Going through all the Pokemon I know and realizing that I knew too many from memory. It was kind of neat to realize how many I had the Japanese default for from games I played when young, to the ones I know in English from the games in Canada (most of them, sigh). Even though I played more in English, I still think 'Eneko' before 'Skitty.' I made sure they're all English here for consistency.

Also because I can't turn the Communist off ever- Nintendo has shut down its services in Russia, but still has a store in 'Israel.' Interesting. Remember, pirating games may be 'illegal,' but it's not wrong.

North: Aggron- Aggressive, strong, high defense, surprisingly environmentally conscious, could be used to protect your country or work in a steel factory. Also, Pulgasari.
Typhlosion- Portable fire is useful. Plus it has explosive anger, like him.
Umbreon- I think it just suits him. It walked into his high-rise as an Eevee and curled up on the floor and wouldn't leave. Typical cat behaviour. He insists he hates it, but oops! Umbreon evolves with high friendship. Get a better lie.
Tyranitar- North would make some argument that it's strong and can be used for landscaping. But that's not it. He has it because it also reminds him of Pulgasari.
Keldeo- Kirin.
Salamence- It wished it could fly so badly that it grew wings. I think that suits North well. Plus it's like a sentient fighter jet.

SH: Altaria- beautiful and gentle, but still a Dragon type. A singer and dancer that's caring to its friends, but merciless to its enemies, like SH.
Mareep- constant supply of wool for making clothes. Cute.
Swellow- sort of like a goshawk, and can be used to send messages. Plus it can sing while she paints.
Glameow- I just think it has SH vibes. Cinccino- Fashionable, cute. South Pyongan would constantly try to steal its fur oil to sell to foreigners.
Corviknight- One of these things is not like the other. She can use it to travel quickly, or shred people with steel feathers. Truly multi-purpose.

North Hamgyong: Mightyena- puppy. Mean like him.
Arcanine- puppy. Can be used to transport materials quickly.
Houndoom- puppy. Portable fire.
Manectric- puppy. constant source of electricity
Rockruff- puppy. He wants to evolve it into a midnight form Lycanroc, but it doesn't want to evolve. He'll be able to overcome the puppy eyes someday
Boltund- puppy. Can be used to power machinery.
I was thinking about Zangoose, but I think he would not like the idea of Pokemon walking on two legs. Lycanroc gets a pass because it still looks like a dog.

Hae: Skitty- pink kitty :)
Mew- It sensed her pure heart and came to her. Hwang was like 'You have a Mew?!' and she was like, 'Ayuh! She's pink! Ain't she cute?'
Togepi- happiness and good luck for her and her family! And it's cute.
Sylveon- another pink kitty :) She subtly uses its powers to calm North down when he's stressed.
Miltank- pink cow :) Constant supply of milk for her people.
Mudsdale- useful for the farm.

Hwang: Alakazam- smartest Pokemon for the smartest province. Can be used to file documents, flip pages in books, double-check writing, and much more.
Ampharos- light to read at night to save electricity; can be used to power things (also why don't the Western names use 'dragon' in them when the Eastern ones do? I thought it was just a Japanese/English difference, but it's not)
Glaceon- It just gives his vibes. Maybe Hae made them both get Eevee and his evolved to this.
Whiscash- can be used to predict earthquakes; easy to keep since it eats anything. Cute.
Porygon- its artificial nature would intrigue him. Plus, can be used to terrorize Japan. Just in case.
Charjabug- Portable electricity source. He also thinks it's cute.
Other contenders: Inteleon, Noctowl, Grumpig

North Pyongan: Dewgong- seal :) He likes seals.
Lapras- can be used to sail around or transport things down the Amnok, and it sings.
Milotic- Pretty. It also calms emotions, like him.
Emporeon- could be used to fight, or to break ice in winter
Floatzel- can be used to save drowning people or hunt fish
Primarina- it sings, like him. Plus it's pretty.
Other contenders: Seaking, Sharpedo (I like this name better, it's so dumb),
Wailord
