The council followed for four days in a row, planning what the capture of the capital would be like now that the queen's main war general was dead and King's Landing was without money to pay the mercenaries or to buy groceries for soldiers who had not died in previous battles to fight. At that moment, everyone was very grateful to Queen Daenerys' companion because it was thanks to her that Olenna agreed to relocate all the gold of all Reach families to Dragonstone, so they could have the food but would not have enough money to pay all the military who were actively participating in the war. Athena was not exactly sad about the loss of Olenna, but she lamented the loss of a person who could have done much more if she had been alive.
Olenna was the woman who refused the marriage to a prince Targaryen; she refused the very certain possibility of having access to the Iron Throne to do whatever she wanted. Athena ventured to say that Lady Tyrell was one of the few women feared by all the kings who have ever sat in that horrible chair; she was feared from north to south because the side she supported would hardly be the losing side. They had a mission now—to advance and conquer; there was no more time to be lost. At that time, the markings of the castles that would be attacked and to whom the titles would be distributed were being made in addition to defining who would participate in some battles.
"It's not safe for you to go to this Athena battle; we know that Cersei will use everything she has to try to kill us!" Daenerys and Grey Worm spoke against the woman at the same time: "I know you want to show the other Reach gentlemen that you are not a weak person, but things are different now; you no longer have your skills and can barely hold a sword."
The duo expressed strong opposition to the idea that Athena could fight openly in the war; it was not a lack of faith in her; it was fear that something very bad would happen, and everyone knew that without her skills, it was practically impossible to come back to life. The two were trying to convince her not to go to war; what remained were attempts because they both knew that Athena was already forbidden to do something once, and this did not prevent the woman from performing such a feat, so there were few options left to be chosen. Daenerys was the person who feared something bad the most, and for a moment she thought about giving up this war, but Athena would never accept something like that; she would never accept that the war was stopped because of her.
"Someone will need to command the soldiers who are responsible for the Tyrell family; they will not accept orders from other people, not least because many do not know me and many less know the queen, so there is not much choice left. My skills may not be the same as before, but I assure you that I will come out of the battle alive in Reach!" "She didn't guarantee it, but they didn't need to know this very important detail.
The army was divided into three major divisions: the first would protect Dragonstone, the second would attack Reach, and the third and largest division would embark on a lightning offensive against the capital. If the capital fell to have the rest of the kingdom, it would be a matter of time, in the opinion of all the war strategists present in the throne room in Dragonstone. The following divisions and their leaders were: Jon Snow and Missandei, leading the Dragon division; Athena Tyrell and Ellaria, leading the Thorns division; and Daenerys and Grey Worm, leading the Swords division. Without many people knowing, the queen secretly ordered Grey Worm that a military reinforcement be sent to the Athena division, fearing that the number of soldiers would be too small to protect her.
Daenerys had the largest Westeros army today, and these numbers were about to increase considerably after her ascent to the Iron Throne. The queen had been articulating each of the attacks with the allies for a long time, and she felt that something would go wrong. Although she did not know what it was, she felt that something would fail terribly, and the pain in her chest was assimilated to a thousand needles piercing her heart at the same time. Seeing Athena in the privacy of their room wearing armor was not in the queen's plans; she admired the scene while her beloved wore piece by piece of clothing and checked if each part was properly attached and fixed as it should be.
