Athena's PoV
"So, is it yes or no?" Poseidon asked with a hopeful expression on his features.
"I'm sorry, what did you just say?" I was in shock.
"Do you want to go on a date with me? You know, like this?" He held up his hands and laced them together.
"I'm not stupid, I know what a date is. I'm the goddess of Wisdom! So, uh, sure." I replied quietly, but he heard me loud and clear.
Poseidon pumps a fist in the air and spins me around in excitement, then remembers who I am.
"Oh, right. See you tonight, and uh, thanks!" As he popped off.
Aphrodite suddenly appeared in front of me. She grabbed one of my hands, yelling, "I am such a mastermind!" repeatedly.
"Aphrodite, where are you bringing me?" I tried to pull my hand free, but I swear, that woman has an iron grip when she wants to.
"Uh, to dress you up for your date?" She states matter-of-factly. "That's what you owe me for the advice and stuff!"
Five pain and pink-filled hours later, I was finally dressed in an elegant silver silk dress that hugged my figure nicely. It had a square neckline embroidered with tiny owls and wave designs, modest, and I loved it. I wore silver flats to match my dress.
When Poseidon saw me, his jaw literally dropped to the floor.
Thanks, Aphrodite! I send a silent prayer.
A/N: It's a really terrible chapter, kind of a filler? I think I will be ending this story soon since I have no idea how it would progress after marriage, etc. since they're immortal. If anyone has suggestions, pls dm or comment.
