Poseidon's PoV

I had seen many things in my immortal life. I have seen fierce fishes being torn into shreds. I have seen the expression on my son's face when he realized the brain spawn might join the Hunter of Artemis. Most of all, I had seen the hungry expressions of some of my fellow Olympians when they learned Athena was deliberating on whether to retake the vow of celibacy.

I knew that Athena had to make a decision soon, and either choose to retake the vow, or to choose a boyfriend. And she had to do it fast.

Athena is one of the strongest warriors I knew, being a good strategist, the Wisdom Goddess, as well as a War Goddess, but even she couldn't hold up against more than one Olympian at a time, especially when they are highly motivated to court her.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not in love with her. But for all her faults, like being too prideful to listen to me (like the time when Medusa was actually forcing herself onto me, and I was too shocked to react), she's a good person at heart, and I wouldn't wish for her to be sexually assaulted or caught unawares. I decided to send her a bracelet that could warn me if she got into trouble.

I poured some water into a cup. The water formed a string, and I blew on it slightly to have it solidify. I willed for the most beautiful seashells to to emerge from its comfy haven of sand, and drilled small holes at the top and bottom. The string flew through the holes. As an afterthought, I decided to add a small silver charm shaped like an owl, Athena's sacred animal. The string looped itself into a circle, then tied a small, sturdy knot. The seashell bracelet flew onto my palm. I surveyed my handiwork.

"Dang, that actually looks really good!" I thought, puffing my godly chest out in pride. Now I had one love goddess to hunt down.
