i came up with the idea when a teacher told us a story that happened to one of his friends but the book is not exactly what happened it's just a little based irl so here's what happened
my teacher had a friend who had an accident and lost half of her memory (like the past 20 years of her life were erased from her brain bc a bacteria ate it). she was 38 yrs old or something like that when the accident happened, and she was married and had a kid. then she was in a coma for some months, and when she woke up she thought she was 18 yrs old, and she didn't know who her husband and her child were, which was really sad. she was really nice when she found out she lost half of her memory and decided to hang out with some of her friends (including my teacher) to try and remember them but she couldn't so she was like "y'all know I don't know who u are right" like she was rlly nice but poor husband😭 she doesn't remember him and THE CHILD like he was just some months old😭
