The legend of the master of fire and dragons

‘It all started in the realm of oni and dragons.

Long ago a war started between the oni and dragons, this war lasted for centuries many lives were lost in that war. When the war ended 50 years ago because of a contract that the 2 species signed. This contract states that the lands would be split into 2 equal parts and divided between the dragons and oni, but if there ever was a case that these rules were not respected between any of the species they would lock the person away never to see the light of day ever again.’ Wu said.

‘That’s so sad so they would be alone for the rest of their lives?’ Lloyd said with a sad voice. Kai tried to cheer the boy up a little and it worked.

‘It is that way sometimes my dear nephew and we can’t do anything about it. Anyway, back to the Legend. but 2 people were too curious about what the other side looked like, so they decided to investigate. They got to the border of the land and looked over to the other side and the 2 saw each other. 

They were too curious and got closer not crossing the border. They were in awe as they looked at each other like something just clicked between them that they could not explain. They were drawn to each other like soulmates.

They soon started talking with each other, getting to know the other better. Soon while walking by the border together, not daring to cross it they found a cave that didn’t belong to any of the 2 lands. At first they were hesitant to enter the cave, but with enough courage they did it. It was a big cave with lots of beautiful glowing crystals. 

They looked around and then looked at each other and finally hugged for the first time in that cave. This continued for a long time. They would meet up in that cave and spend time together with each other when one day the dragon announced that they were pregnant. The oni was excited but also scared of what would happen once it was found out that the baby would be part oni and part dragon. 

So they hid the pregnancy and decided to send the child once it was a few days old to another realm. And they did nobody except the parents know where the child was sent to. Afterwards the heads oni and dragon found out what the 2 had done and locked them away in the same cave they first touched each other, but as punishment they could not touch each other only see.’ Wu said, ending the story.

‘What happened to the child?’ Jay asked. ‘No one knows it’s a mystery for us all but I think that the person that you saw the child at the venomari tombs. This is why I decided to tell you all this legend although it is actually more a story if you ask me.’ Wu replied 

‘Now everyone goes to bed it is late and we have a long day ahead of us’ Wu said. 

This made everyone nod and go to their own rooms for the night. Well not everyone as Kai was about to walk into his room Cole stopped him and asked if they could sleep together tonight to which Kai agreed wanting to spend more time with his lover. 

‘Oh and by the way, the possibility that Lloyd will come into my room to sleep with me is high just letting you know.’ Kai said to Cole to let him know. ‘That is fine with me, but does Lloyd do this a lot? I mean sleeping with you?’ Cole asked. 

‘Yeah he does i think he just wants someone who loves him and cares for him like family since his family basically abandoned him.’ Kai said while getting ready for bed. ‘Yeah I get it sometimes I also want some love and affection after my mom died dad just left me to basically fend for myself. He was always with his group, never with me to help me get through with the pain I felt after losing her…’ Cole said while tearing up. 

‘Yeah same actually I always made sure Nya was loved and everything would go well, that she got to go to school, have a hobby, be able to have friends. 

But I never got that I always had to make sure she got everything she could ever want while me… I kind of neglected myself, sometimes forgetting to eat for days… I’m sorry now I’m telling you all this stuff and making you worry. I don’t like anyone seeing this side of me but for some reason I am comfortable showing you this side of me I just-.’ Kai said as he started crying. Cole soon started hugging Kai and comforting him. 

They were now sitting on the bed just holding each other in silence. ‘Thank you for being with me, you made me the happiest person alive.’ Cole said while playing with Kai’s hair. ‘Thank you also for being there for me when I need a shoulder to cry on like today’ Kai said to Cole looking up at him. 

They then started leaning in closer and closer to each other so they could feel the others' breath. They were so close but yet so far at the same time. And just as they were about to kiss a knock was heard at the door. With a sight Kai stood up to check who it was. ‘Hey Kai, could I sleep here tonight? I don’t want to be alone after hearing that story.’ Lloyd stood there by the door holding a dragon plushie Kai got him a bit ago. ‘Sure to come in Lloyd by the way Cole is also staying here if that is okay?’ Kai asked his little brother. ‘That’s fine you can sing one of your songs to us?’ 

Lloyd questioned. Lloyd and Cole were the only ones that knew about Kai’s singing career and how he would post his songs online to get money to support his sister. Kai sighed at this with a smile and nodded while getting his guitar. 

‘So what song should I play?’ Kai asked the 2 as they both sat on his bed while he was sitting on his desk chair. ‘Counting stars!!!’ Lloyd exclaimed it was his favorite song. ‘Okay blondy no need to yell.’ Kai said with a smile and soon began to sing. 

(Just think of any kind of song you like)

After he finished the 2 started clapping wanting him to sing another to which he complied after a few songs he decided to put a stop to it since he was tired and wanted to sleep. 

They then all got into bed together and cuddled up together soon all falling asleep one by one. 

The next morning

Kai was the first one to wake up. As he woke up he looked around and saw Lloyd cuddling up to him and Cole on the other side doing the same thing. He thought it was cute so he decided to take pictures of them before waking them. Kai kissed Cole's cheek to wake him and shook Lloyd a little. Soon both woke up and all 3 started getting ready for the day. 

Kai stood in the kitchen making breakfast for everyone, Cole and Lloyd sat at the dining table listening to Kai’s songs with headphones on while doing their own thing. ‘Good morning Cole, Lloyd and Kai’ Sensei Wu said as he walked into the room after waking the others from their sleep. ‘Good morning sensei/Uncle.’ The 3 said at the same time. 

Soon everyone arrived and started eating.

Later that day 

Sensei Wu just called everyone into his meditation room to talk. He told them that they would need to find their true potential and that he was going away for a while. Where? only he knows. 

Once sensei left everyone except Kai and Lloyd decided to go to the living room to talk about their true potential and what could be holding them back. While they were talking Kai and Lloyd were in the kitchen. 

Ready to start Lloyd?’ Kai asked the very excited boy. ‘Yep we are going to make the best birthday cake ever hope Nya likes it!’ Lloyd said. Tomorrow is Nya’s birthday so they wanted to start making the cake now since the ninja are distracted right now. After an hour they finished baking the cake and put it aside to cool off and covered it so no one would see it before it was time. Kai then realized he needed other stuff for decoration and as a present so he and Lloyd told the others that they were going to the store and would be back in a few hours. Cole offered to come with to which Kai thanked him.

Hope everyone enjoyed this chapter I was really struggling with this because I didn't fully know how I wanted the legend/story to go and had lots of trouble deciding (and have a few drafts that didn't make it).
I also want to thank everyone for 2K reads that is amazing, I never thought enyone would actually read this let alone this many people.
