Girsha's POV
Leora and I had finished getting ready to leave my clan and head back to Elvan Country. I will miss them, just like I have when I left that last few times. But my pirority is Leora's happiness.
We collected our horse and cart we rented from Elvan Country, and I piled in our bags and Leora's staff, books, and bottles. My mother had given us a lot of food for the road, so I packed that up too. "Well Leora, are you ready?" Leora smiled at me and nodded her head. We were at the main entrance of the clan my family had come to see us off and so did some of my old friends. "Take care of her Girsha, make sure she is eating and getting lots of sleep, I don't need you two rushing back." My father said before kissing my cheek.
"Yes, father, I will. The time will fly by, I'm sure." My father nodded in agreement. "And you, Leora, remember to take your time. We will see you when you are ready." Leora hugged my father, and he kissed the top of her head. I hugged my mother, and she said. "Write us before you come back, and we will make sure to get your brothers and niblings here." I nodded. "We will. It will be great to celebrate with everyone." Shr then looked to Leora and smiled. "I am so happy for you both, I trust you to take care of my baby, keep her working, though, can't let her get soft." Leora laughed and held my hand. "Of course Shegar, I will work her hard." I blushed and picked up Leora before sitting her on my shoulder.
We said goodbye to my brothers, and they all hugged us both. We came out of the pile, and I put Leora onto the cart. "Goodbye!" I yelled towards my clan, Leora waved, and they all waved back. I got onto the cart and told the horse to move. We started down the road, and Leora kept waving before the clan was gone from view.
"It will be so strange to live in a city. The clan just feels like home." Leora said before starting to tear up. I took her face in my hand and wiped her tears away. "Hey, it will be okay. We'll be back before you know it. We can always visit again." Leora nodded and kissed my lips softly. "Come on mushy, give me a cuddle, and let me sing you a song."
Leora looked at me silent. "What? Don't you know I can sing?" Leora shook her head. "No, I didn't expect you to be the type to want to sing." I laughed and cuddled Leora into my side. "Of course, I'm part Orc. It's in our blood." Leora snuggled into my side, and I started to hum a little until I started to sing.
"Men trærne de danser
Og fossene stanser
Når hun synger, hun synger
Kom hjem
Men trærne de danser
Og fossene stanser
When she sings she sings come home
When she sings she sings come home
Men trærne de danser
Og fossene stanser
Når hun synger, hun synger
Kom hjem
Men trærne de danser
Og fossene stanser
When she sings she sings come home
When she sings she sings come home
When she sings she sings come home
When she sings she sings come home."(I didn't add all the lyrics)
When I stopped singing, I realised Leora had fallen asleep, I hadn't sung the song in the usual upbeat way it mostly was. I kept it to the soothing tone, so she had drifted off. I held her close as I turned around in my seat to lay her down on the back of the cart, I then pulled her blanket over her body and smiled. "So beautiful." I whispered before turning around and keeping the horse on the right path.
It was already the evening when we had set off, so I was prepared to follow the trail for as far as the horse would let me. I wouldn't be waking Leora up unless I needed to.
A/n
Short filler chapter, I'm sorry, the song is from the Loki series.
