Leora's POV

Girsha and I spent our time trapped at home doing mostly domestic things, I was still too shaken up to do magic, so Girsha taught me how to make her mother's famous gumbo. It was quite simple, but Girsha told me that if I get one ingredient slightly wrong, it can make the whole soup taste wrong. So I paid exctra close attention.

I really want to make food for Girsha's parents when we go back to her clan, I read it was a custom for future daughters in law to give her partner's family food when the couple start the engagement year.

It was so strange how for a species I thought were all brutes and hold hungry, they actually have a very detailed culture that has so much history and traditions. It has been hard to remember it all, but I'm sure I will get there, Girsha said not to research the engagement year until we went back since it could be daunting.

As we were finishing the clean-up, a knock was heard at the door. Girsha went to answer it to see Vel, and this time, they were in their uniform. I blushed at the sight, and I could tell Girsha was in aw too. "Hello Girsha, Leora. How are you both?" They asked as they stepped in. "Good thankyou, I just finished teaching Leora how to make gumbo." Girsha said proudly. I smiled and wrapped my arms around Girsha. "Is there any news on The Collector?"

Vel shook their head. "I'm sorry, we are still looking for him, but the henchmen have been questioned. It took a lot to get them to talk, but they did. They said their boss was staying with a friend on Folkestone's Street. Do you know of any friends he has? Before we have to search  every house?" We both shook our heads. "No, I'm sorry, Vel, we don't. The only things he ever mentioned to Leora were sickening, and I don't wish to repeat them." Girsha said, making me remember my first meeting with The Collector before Girsha came back for me. "Okay, thank you anyway. I'll tell my men to start the searches. Let's hope he's still there." Vel said. Girsha and Vel then shook hands, and Vel left.

"I wonder what they are like in bed?" Girsha said seriously. I hit her arm and yelled. "Girsha!" Girsha blushed and rubbed the back of her neck. "You don't ever blush like that for me!" I whinned, which made her chuckle. "Aw, little Mage. Don't be jealous. I do get flustered around you, and you make me nervous all the time. I just hide it like I do around them." Girsha said as she kissed my head. She wrapped her arms around my chest and cuddled me close. "You don't need to hide it around me." I grumbled, and Girsha nodded. "Okay, love, I won't anymore. I just didn't want your sexy Orc to act cutesy."

I frowned and kissed her lips. "I want both." Girsha smiled, and we kissed again for a while until we broke away to breathe. "We need to sort out our Vel problem." I said seriously. Girsha nodded and said. "Okay, normal boundaries as with others. No kissing, let them ask for it, and make everyone feel good... AND wait until after the Collector is found."

I agreed, and we went back to the kitchen to pout out some gumbo for lunch.

Later that day.

Girsha and I had we just getting ready for dinner when we heard a knock at the door. We both breathed out and prepared ourselves before Girsha opened the door. Vel stepped in and smiled. "Hello ladies, I am happy to report that the Collector is in our custody and will be put in jail. He will then be given his crimes and will go to trail. If and I bet he will, is found guilty all of hos collection wi be taken and any stole items will be returned to their rightful owners." I cheered and kissed Girsha for a minute, trying to show off a bit to Vel before pulling away. "I am so happy, thankyou Vel!"

I hugged them, and Girsha held their shoulder. "Thank you. I am glad he can't hurt anyone anymore." Vel nodded, and I asked."Please stay for dinner. We were just warming it up. I need a non biased opinion on my gumbo." I said laughing. Girsha smirked and agreed. Vel looked at both of us and nodded. "I would love too Leora, thank you."
