Leora's POV
2 weeks after Mushy came alive, he had gone everywhere with me. We bought him a small dolls house to live in so he be alone and sleep in his own room when he wants and when Girsha and I need alone time. But for the rest of the time, he's with me.
Girsha and I had decided to go to a bar for a drink or two to celebrate my progress in my Elf Magic. It was very crowded when we got there so I was glad Mushy had wanted to stay home. Girsha took my hand as we entered the bar and found a place to sit. Girsha sat me down and asked. "What wod you like, my love?" I got as comfortable as I could on the stool and answered. "Gin and tonic, please." Girsha nodded and untied her gold pouch from her belt and held it in her hand.
She left for the bar, and I sat and waited and started to take in my surroundings. There was mostly drunk Elves dancing and talking loudly. There was also a gambling table run by a Goblin in the corner. The music was being played by a human on his guitar. Some Elves stood on the stage with him singing and clapping to the beat of the song.
Soon enough, Girsha came back with our drinks. "Thankyou Girsha, did you make sure to get their strongest for yourself?" I asked before sniffing her drink. "Yes, I did, so please don't drink it, I don't mind you drunk at home, but with other people around..." Girsha growled as I could already feel eyes on me. "Hey, it's okay. No one wants to harm me." I put my hand on Girsha's, and she calmed down.
"I'm sorry, I get so protective of you." I kissed her lips softly and said. "Never be sorry for that, Girsha. I love that you want to protect me. I feel the same way about you. Just know that whilst I am with you, I am always safe. I trust you fully." Girsha beemed and kissed my nose. We both then took a sip of our drinks and chatted about random stuff.
"Have you been writing to Fleafiara?" Girsha asked after she finished a story about her mother. "Yes, I have been telling her about my studies and our run-in with the Collector. She was happy to hear he's dealt with. She said my mother is still in denial about us and still wants me to come home." Girsha frowned and interlocked our fingers. "It will be okay. You have a huge family waiting for you. If your mother doesn't want to accept you, then she can't be a part of it."
I nodded and finished off the last of my drink and just stared at Girsha. "Why are you staring Mage?" She asked, smirking. "You're just so beautiful." I answered, which made Girsha blush. "Me? Na, you're beautiful." Girsha kissed my lips again for longer this time.
"Ugh, can you get a room?!" I heard someone say. We pulled away from each other, and Girsha spotted an Elf man who looked extremely drunk. "What did you say?" Girsha growled. "I said get a room! You Orcs are disgusting, showing off your little bitches to everyone, go back to your hole in the mud!"
I could tell Girsha was getting angry at his comments. "How dare you! Do you even know who you are talking about?" Girsha yelled at him. "And how dare you mock me and my people when you're drunk at 5 pm!" The Elf stood up from his table and folded his arms. "I have no respect for a human who thinks she can do some party tricks and call herself magical." The Elf said, adding more fuel to the fire.
Girsha was ready to pounce on him. "Girsha, please. He's not worth it." I said as I grabbed her shoulder. It's just, I'm sorry, Leora, but I have to defend our honour." Girsha said to me before cracking her knuckles. The Elf laughed and asked. "Honour? What honour? You are nothing more than a greedy, thieving, no good Orc who fucks humans to make themselves feel stronger. Your race is dying, and breeding with humans isn't going to help that."
And with that Girsha had snapped, she punched the Elf in the face and wrestled him to the ground. Everyone around us started to watch the fight and chant. Girhsa punched the Elf in the face, ribs and stomach causing him to have a nose bleed and bruises to already form. I got pushed to the back, but I could still see.
