Leora's POV
A week after The Collector was taken to prison, Girsha and I had heard news that all of his collection was taken and distributed to its rightful owners. Most were stole artefacts from cultures he couldn't dream of understanding. It was so heartbreaking to learn he had been going this for 10 years.
His henchmen were also locked up since they aided him, and luckily, I was going to be the only live item in his collection. I guess I would have been the first in Girsha hadn't saved me. Apartly, he had a few cells lined up ready for people to "live in." it was a gross feeling.
I tried not to think about it now, Vel was happy to keep in touch with us after all of this, and we recommended the brothel to them.
I was at my desk studying when I got to a spell on making inanimate objects cone to life, it said that an elf made objects would just move about and do their purpose, like a broom would just sweep for the duration of the spell. But things that came from nature, such as a plant, if done by the right kind of Elf or Mage, would change into a humanoid version of that plant and would develop a personality. Elves used this kind of spell to make work forces and companions. A high Elf who added to this book said they turned a lavender field into their personal librarians since they could not stand the smell of old books, which I disagree on, but the concept was fascinating.
I tried the spell out on a pillow to see what would happen. It stood up quickly and then started to walk towards me. It then climbed up my chair and moved in between it and my back. I beemed with excitement. More magistrates would benefit from Elf Magic.
I then looked around to see what I could spell next. I went to the window to see the once empty plant pot now had a red mushroom growing inside of it. I said the spell to the mushroom and it started to grow legs, then arms, then a face, it's eyes were shut at first but blinked open and smiled at me before crawling up my arm and sitting on my shoulder. "Hello, little friend." I was so happy the spell worked. The mushroom waved at me and smiled. "Hmm, it's sad you're mute, but it's okay. Let's go study some more."
I sat back down to finish my studying when the Mushroom slid down my arm and sat next to the book. "You're so cute." I said, patting his head lightly. He sat with me for the rest of the afternoon and entertained me by playing with my stationary when I got bored.
Before I knew it, Girsha was home. "Leora, I'm home." Girsha called out before shutting the front door and coming to my desk. "Hey, beautiful." Girsha said before kissing my cheek. "Hey Girsha, guess what I made." Girsha looked nervous before asking. "What did you make love?" I held up the mushroom and smiled. "I learned a spell that makes living plants come to life!"
Girsha smiled and said. "Wow, that's amazing, Leora. He's adorable." The Mushroom climbed onto Girsha and hugged her neck. "He's like a familiar!" I said, beeming. Girsha nodded. "Does he have a name?" I shook my head. "You pick." Gursha smiled and picked up the little guy before looking at his face.
"Mushy." Girsha said confidently. I smiled, and the Mushroom did, too. "Aw, do you like it?" Mushy nodded and jumped to my shoulder. "I love him." I said before tapping his head again. "He's very cute. I hope this won't affect our sex life." Girsha laughed. I just stared at her unamused. "Anyway, it's time I male dinner." Girsha said before kissing my head and leaving for the kitchen."
"Don't worry, Mushy, I'll buy you a dolls house to be your own space to run away too if your mummies want alone time." I said to Mushy before going back to study.
A/N
Sorry for the short chapter.
Girsha and Leora will have known each other for 5 months after this chapter, so have been dating for 3 months and 2 weeks, I did all the math 😭 I know that seems quick, but they are soul mates, and Orcs have shorter relationships before marriage. They will still wait until after Leora has finished her Elf Magic. So there are a lot more in between chapters to come before they go back to the Orc Clan. Just wanted to see when their 6 months anniversary would be and if I should keep writing more in the Elf Magic Arch.
Thanks for reading.
