Jennie's face was filled with worry as it's already late in the morning and Rosé hasn't arrived yet.
She sighed as she picked out a dress to get dressed instead of waiting for Rosé. She made sure to pick out a dress that didn't need the assistance of another person to put on.
It was a beautiful pastel blue light dress with butterfly sleeves. A silver pendant adorned her neck and her ears decorated with dangling star earrings.
She looked pretty. Most importantly, she felt pretty.
Her plan for today was decided. She is going to meet Jungkook and walk around the palace with him. Later, she'll visit Taehyung to apologize for causing him trouble yesterday and also thank him for helping her out. But her first priority was to apologize to Rosé. She wondered if the other was mad at her.
"Princess Jennie, Queen Jiyeon and Queen Hyojoo are here to meet you" The guard outside her room's door, announced. "Let them in" she replied.
She saw the worried expression on Jiyeon's and Hyojoo's face. Behind them stood Ningning whose face was stained with dry tears. Jennie didn't have a great feeling about this.
Did something happen to her father? Did her in-laws break the engagement?
So many thoughts filled her mind as her face dropped at the unheard news.
"Jennie. You are required in the throne room" Jiyeon spoke with a lower tone. A hesitant Hyojoo held Jennie's hands and continued "Whatever happens down there will definitely hurt you and won't be easy for you to bear. I hope God gives you the strength to handle yourself. People leave and all you can do is say your goodbyes." a tear escaped her eyes at the last sentence.
Jennie didn't waste a second to run out of her room to the throne room. Her heart dropped as tears filled her eyes and dropped down her face. "Princess Jennie" her father's voice filled her ears. "A tragedy led to Park Chae young-ssi's death last night. Han Taehyung-ssi and her family wanted you to bid your farewell to the dead considering you were close to her. And we.....believe the same" he continued.
Her lips quivered as she broke out in loud cries replacing her silent tears of shock. There was a white casket filled with flowers and on it, layed the woman she longed to meet since yesterday. Her face was pale and her lips dried. She looked pretty and peaceful even in her death.
Besides the casket, stood an emotionless Taehyung. His eyes were red and his face filled with dried tears. Sorry. Jennie wanted to say it to both of them. For yesterday and for today. But she knew no word would lessen his pain or bring her back to life. Besides Taehyung stood an older woman that Jennie didn't recognize but assumed was Rosie's family.
"N-no no n-no. T-this can't b-be" She stuttered through her tears and ran towards the casket to kneel down on her knees. Her hands traced the blond's cheeks. Her cries became louder as the room fell even more silent. She looked at the flowers beneath. She smiled through her cries as she remembered it.
