It was only a little time before dawn when Lisa knocked on Yoojung's door. The other opened the door, half asleep. Her face lit up when she came face to face with the maid. "Lisa" she screamed. Lisa shushed her by keeping her index finger on her lips. She nodded and looked around before throwing herself on the other who caught her by wrapping her arms around her waist. She giggled.
After pulling away, Yoojung spoke up "You promised we'd meet more often if I get you the job in the palace" she pouted. "I'm sorry. I've been busy." Lisa apologised. Yoojung nodded understanding. She held other's hand and asked "Why are you up so early? Nevermind. How about I show you my new dress? I just got it yesterday and-" she said continuosly while dragging the maid with her. "Later" Lisa replied shortly. Yoojung stopped and turned around. Her grip on the other's hand loosen and her lips turned into a frown.
"But-" Lisa shook her head. "Later" She said, sternly. The happiness faded away from her face. She looked down and fiddled her fingers. Lisa sighed. "Do me favour. I need to borrow your room for some time. Can you wait outside?" Lisa asked. "Do I have to? Can I be with you?" She asked. "Please" Lisa pleaded. The other nodded and walked out. She quietly locked the door and walked towards the bathroom.
"I need to hurry" She whispered to herself. She picked the handheld mirror and smashed it on the ground. She picked few pieces of almost even size. The shards of glass made her bleed. She put two pieces on either of the window sill and another on the vanity table facing the mirror. One rested against the candle by the tub and few others here and there. Few seconds remained till dawn.
As soon as the first gentle ray of sun peeked over the horizon, casting a golden glow across the ocean, it also illuminated the scattered mirror pieces. The light bounced off the shards, creating a dazzling display of reflections that seemed to dance and shimmer in harmony.
In the midst of this radiant spectacle, all the mirror pieces converged at a central point, where they merged seamlessly. It was a mesmerizing sight, almost magical in its beauty. Lisa let out a sigh of relief at the breathtaking scene.Taking a deep breath, she reached for her sapphire gem ring. Lisa held the ring up towards the center point of the reflected rays, as if offering it up to the display of light.
As soon as she released the ring, the sapphire gem began to hover in mid-air, emitting a soft, ethereal glow. She took a step back. A bright light took over the room. She brought her arm up to cover her eyes. "Lisa" She heard a male voice she recognised immediately. She let her arm fall to her side. In front of her was a huge glowing ball of light and she could see Jungkook through it.
"Jungkook" She whispered. He hummed in response. "What is it?" He asked. She sighed "We... can't take the risk of letting Taehyung near Jennie anymore" She began. His facial expression showed worry. "What do you mean?" He asked. She could sense the anger and tension in his words. "Taehyung attacked Jennie last night" she answered.
He groaned and gripped his blonde hair tightly, pushing his hair back. The veins on his neck visible due to the force. "Is she fine?" He asked. She nodded. "She is. I'll take care of the rest. But we can't let her be with him any longer" She heard him sigh. "I've been thinking..." He paused mid sentence. She raised her eyebrow at him. "There's only one way to keep her safe now" he said in a low voice. He didn't seem fond of his own idea.
