Only an hour was left till sunset. Taehyung had to reach the top of the mountain before stars take over the sky. He was exhausted already and his mind still wandered about what he should do next. He rested against a tree for few moments before continuing his hike. As the sky started turning pinkish shades, the temperature became a little colder which made him shiver a bit. His teeth chattered in his mouth, but he ignored it as he tried to focus on his path.
After what felt like ages, he finally reached on top of the mountain. He looked down to find the most breathtaking view. The houses, shops, stalls etc all looked tiny beneath him. The white palace looked heavenly even from above. However, the most beautiful of them all was Nereida's ocean.
The light of sunset reflected off the water, creating a shimmering effect. The waves splashed against the shore as if dancing. It was hypnotizing. If someone would see the whole scene from this height, they could have easily mistaken themselves to be part of one of those magical fairy tales. It looked like one big blue lake in the middle of nowhere with the water reflecting the pink sky. As if the God was celebrating something with nature that he didn't want to share with humans.
He looked around to see any sign of a woman named Jisoo. While walking back and forth, he tripped over a big rock and stumbled down. His body rolled over the ground due to the steepness of mountain. He groaned in pain as his body collided with many rocks and thorns in its way down but soon felt water all around him, pushing him down with the force. He was so awestruck by the beauty of Nereida that he didn't notice the other mountain behind this one with a huge waterfall. The water fell down the top of other mountain and flowed into a river. His injured body sailed with the water. The water around him was tinted faint red.
The mountain was very far away from the ocean and the palace itself. It marked the end of Nereida's territory. No one knew what was on the other side of the it. And soon his eyelids began to feel heavy until he passed out. The last thing he saw was a figure with wings coming towards him.

His eyes fluttered open. He groaned in pain as he tried to move his body but he was too injured to get up. His whole body hurt. Even breathing was difficult. He tried to recall how he had got here but his head hurt so bad when he remembered what happened. He was lying down on a hard surface.
He could see the moon shining brightly in the sky above him while the stars were embroided with utmost patience. After a couple of minutes, he managed to gather enough strength to stand up. He took one step forward but collapsed. Luckily the soft grasses underneath him prevented him from hitting his head or neck hard. However, he felt dizzy and nauseous. Maybe from the pain. He looked around for any sign of life.
He let out a gasp after witnessing the place. He was in the ruins of a white marble palace. It was very similar to Nereida's palace but smaller and destroyed. There were broken pillars carved with various patterns. He had laid on a marble bench earlier. A small fountain of fresh water was beside him but now only half full. There were destroyed sculptures all around depicting various kind of creatures which he had seen for the first time.
