It was February 18.
Hoseok's birthday.
"Okay, is everything ready?", Taehyung asked, looking around the decorated hall. "Yeah, it is", Jimin replied. "We just have to wait for Joon to bring Hobi here", Yoongi said.
They were going to give Hoseok a surprise at a luxurious hotel. They had rented out a whole floor, decorated with balloons and other party stuff. A huge buffet table was set out in the middle, a big cake on it. A karaoke stand and some arcade games were also there.
They had invited Hoseok's parents, relatives and some close friends. Of course, the whole Sunshine Restaurant staff would also be there. The six thought it'd make him happy. It was a big party.
The five were looking amazing, as usual.
Taehyung and Jimin wore black suits, with white shirts. Jin and Hoseok wore dark blue suits, and Jungkook a mauve suit.
Taehyung's phone beeped. It was a message from Namjoon. "Joon hyung's saying they're outside. Quick, switch off the lights and take your positions!"
Everyone took their positions, hiding in absolute dark.
The hall door opened and Namjoon and Hoseok stepped in, the latter being blindfolded. "Joon, where are we? Can I take if off now?", Hoseok said. He wore a pink suit. "Just hold on for a second more!", Namjoon said, who was wearing a light blue suit.
Just then, everybody shouted in unison: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JUNG HOSEOK!"
The lights switched on. Hoseok took off his blindfold and was surprised to see such beautiful decorations. "WOAH! Thanks guys! This is sooo amazing", he exclaimed, extremely happy. No one had ever hosted a party for him.
He greeted his parents and was happy to see his staff, who wished him. Jin rushed to the food table. "Finally!", he said. The six laughed. "We should cut the cake now", Jungkook said. "And party all night long!", Taehyung said.
They all crowded around Hoseok, the six being close to him the most. "Wow, it's beautiful", he said, looking at the cake. His cooking side took over, and he amazed at the design. The others smiled. Hoseok cut the cake, while the others sang the happy birthday song.
"Make a wish", Yoongi said. Hoseok closed his eyes. He wished sincerely for his family's and six best friends' safety. He wished God would protect them from harm, and wouldn't let anything like the "incident" happen again. He wished for his and their health and long life.
He opened his eyes and blew the candles, and the hall cheered.
The cake was served to everyone. Everyone was eating from the food table and were playing arcade games, singing karaoke and chatting.
Taehyung attached his phone to the speaker, and played "Begin". It was a beautiful song, roughly written by Jungkook for his best friends. He had shown it to them before, and they knew the lyrics by heart. They all sang along to the recording, their voices harmonising perfectly.
You make me begin.
They then clicked pictures together in the photo booth and took turns playing games.
They were having a blast.

3 long hours, they guests left, saying goodbye to Hoseok. His parents also took their leave, after hugging him good night.
The seven had decided to ride in their seven-seater car today, which they'd bought recently for going places together.
"So, where to now?", Jin asked. "What? Aren't we going home?", Hoseok said, confused. "It's just 11:30 pm. We should do more stuff. It's not everyday that we get to celebrate birthdays", Jimin chuckled.
After a while, they reached the beach.
Only a few handful of people were there. The seven got out of the car and walked in the sand, along the ocean. Thankfully, no one could see their faces in the dark. It'd be trouble if they got crowded.
There were lamps lit at certain distances, giving a majestic glow to the beach. The ocean glowed a beautiful, shiny dark blue in the moonlight.
They stopped and faced the ocean, breathing it in.
Taehyung leaned on Jungkook. Jimin held Taehyung's hand, and they made a chain. Holding each other's hands.
The seven stared at the ocean. It was a perfect and peaceful moment.
Suddenly, the sky lit up with different colours.
Fireworks burst around them, illuminating their faces with colour. Their eyes reflected the sparkling, bright colours. They all stared in awe, gaping.
Then a second wave of fireworks came, this time lighting not only the sky, but the whole ocean.
It was simply majestic. Breathtaking. Beautiful. Magical.
A tear escaped Hoseok's eye.
"I...I'm so blessed to have all of you. To be witnessing this...amazing thing with you all. I love you", he said, his voice cracking.
They couldn't stop their tears from flowing too. "God, you're making us cry...", Taehyung smiled, wiping his tears. Jin chuckled, wiping his own.
They all hugged in a group, huddling together.
They all said together: "I love you".
I love you.
Nothing else mattered. Not when they were together. As one.

"Did the CEO of Ming Entertainment agree for the appointment?"
The assistant nodded. "Yeah, tomorrow at 9 in the morning in Seoul. Which will be at a different time here in US", she said. "I know the time difference", Weng said. He waved a hand, dismissing her.
Weng spun in his chair.
His brother was getting more success than him, and he didn't digest that. He wanted more...more than Kim Taehyung.
He couldn't fail. He needed to make his brother fall. So that he could rise.
He would go to any lengths. He wasn't satisfied with his small, petty business of damn electronics. He had lied to his father that he needed money for some project. In reality, he needed money for clearing his debts and in hope of not having to work again.
