Jungkook smiled as he switched the lights off.

Today had been a good day. He had got a message from Taehyung. Even if they texted a few words, it still made his day better. Taehyung's hadn't texted the rest of the day, but Jungkook understood.

It had been a year since they had last texted, or even talked. Jungkook watched his movies everyday, just wanting to hear and see him.

He wanted him back even sooner now. Surely a year was enough?

Jungkook fell asleep, reading their chat over and over.

.........

Eun smiled at his patient, who left.

The smile soon faded. He glanced at the reports, hidden below other files.

He didn't have the courage to email them to Taehyung's doctor. He wanted Taehyung to stay. And he would do anything for that.

Eun's shaky hands picked up his phone, and he dialled a number.

"Hello, mental health unit?...Yes, I think my friend is going through depression...Yeah, he just throws things at me. Last time, he even hit his family member...Yeah, sure. Can you pick him up at night today? He's easier to handle when he's asleep...Alright, thanks...Yeah, I'm a doctor. A therapist...Thanks again"

Eun hung up and put down the phone, smirking. Once Taehyung was caught, Eun would visit him everyday at the asylum.

Oh, Taehyung. I didn't wanna show you this side of me.

.........

Taehyung smiled as he watched a video of his friends on his phone.

He really wanted to be with them. Needed to be with them. He didn't know whether Eun had sent the reports or not, and he suspected he didn't. So he had to do something.

He quickly opened the website and booked a one-way ticket to Seoul.

A year was enough. Enough for them to sort things out. Enough for him to sort himself out. And he was better now. And he was sure he would be great if he saw them again.

His flight was at 8 in the evening. Perfect. He would arrive at Seoul in the afternoon.

.........

At night.

Taehyung locked his apartment, shoving the key in his bag. He patted the door softly; he had kind of liked the stay.

The Uber arrived in time, and just as he got in, a massive van pulled up outside his apartment.

Realising what the van was for, Taehyung shouted at the driver, "Go, Go!" The tires screeched, and they drove away at top speed.

The officers in the van saw a cab drive away, and were puzzled. They again shifted their attention to the apartment, checking the door locks.

Taehyung watched them from the back seat. He saw a car pull up next to the van, Eun getting out, just as the Uber rounded the corner.

Taehyung straightened, his eyes wide. So it was you, Eun.

He must've called them, given them his address. For what, just to make him stay? No, he would get nothing out of it.

Taehyung quietly spent the rest of the drive to the airport.

.........

Eun burst into his clinic, and slammed the door shut.

That bastard. He had already locked up and left.

He slammed a fist on his desk. If only he had told them to take him sooner. He slumped into the chair, running a hand through his hair. Well, now all was gon-

His eyes fell on a closed envelope on his desk.

He reached for it and quickly opened it.

Dear Eun, Thank you for supporting me, for being there for me this whole time. You were a pillar for me against the storm. I am extremely grateful to you, and your help. But I'm sorry. Sorry I couldn't love you back. My love is reserved for someone else. But I want you to let me go. I want you to move on, and find someone else. You've taught me so many things, but I've noticed that you don't apply them to yourself. Do it. Live a life.

Your greatest secret keeper, T.

A tear fell down on the paper, absorbing.

And many drops followed suit. Eun blinked, wiping the tears. Taehyung...

When had he gotten into his clinic and left this? Eun smiled, more tears pouring out. That bastard. He wasn't sure if he could unlove him, but he would certainly try.

Eun called the mental hospital unit to call off the search for his "friend".

He tossed the phone away, putting his head down on the envelope, the letter clutched in his hands.

I love you.

Eun closed his eyes, reliving all their memories. Their photos and memories would still be alive.

And when he opened them, he let him go.
