Chapter 4 - You're a superhero

Tim's pov:
Angela and I rush up to the hospital waiting room where we had spent the last 2 days in.
Sgt Gray) "Tim! There you are! Room 113. She's awake!"

My heart...skips a beat
I walk quietly in there alone first.

I open the door and see her...the most beautiful woman in the world staring out the hospital window in silence.

She heard my footsteps and look toward me with her mouth slightly agape and a tear that rolled down her cheek

Lucy) "T-Tim.."

Her voice...I know it had only been 48 hours or so but that felt like an eternity when I wasn't sure if I'd see her ever again

I rushed beside her

Tim) "Lucy you're okay!..."
I hugged her but not too tightly cause I knew she was still in pain

Lucy smiled and he eyes returned to their bright brown color

Lucy) "Of course I am. You told me I would be."

I smiled now with tears down my eyes as I leaned my forehead against hers

Lucy frowned a little as she wiped my tears with her hand

Lucy) "No..don't cry babe.."
I let out a small laugh

Tim)"How could I not cry tears of joy?"

Lucy smiled and kissed me and I kissed back

Lucy pat her hospital bed motioning me to sit beside her so I did and just held her

Lucy) "How long was I asleep for?"

Tim) "About 2 very long days"

Lucy) "Oh.."

Tim) "What have the nurses and doctors been saying?"

Lucy) "T-hat it's a miracle that I'm even awake right now...they thought for sure I was never gonna wake up again...and when I did wake up and you weren't there...I thought maybe..."

Tim) "What?? Did you think I was just gonna leave you or something? No I'm sorry I wasn't here.. I feel horrible but I got called to save a family from my old army buddy who was holding them at gunpoint.."

Lucy looked me in the eyes

Lucy) "Did you save...them?"

I smiled before responding

Tim) "Yeah...I did.. and even when he pointed a gun at me, the only thing that kept me going was thinking about you.."

Lucy snuggled up against me

Lucy) You're a superhero....and my superhero."

I smirked at her comment as
I ran my fingers through her hair
There's no way I can tell her about Emmett...not right now or atleast not until she asks

Tim) "I love you"

Lucy smiled with her eyes closed

Lucy) "Thank you for being by my side. I love you too"

A few seconds later I shot up in bed a little being careful not to hurt Lucy

Tim) "Speaking of which..."

I unzip my duffle bag beside me and grab at the picture of me with the note on the back. I hand it to her

Tim) "So what's this about?"

I laughed and smiled

Tim) "When did you write this aka how long have you loved me and kept it from me?"
