This is the last curse of the 8-year curse I kept mentioning in this story. It wasn't an 8-year curse, not until I pondered upon it a few months after the last 'event' occurred.

This curse, well I didn't know when it truly started, occured only at my campus class, among my classmates during these few years. It wasn't started from Nadya then continued to Tessa, which you, my readers, might realize that the next person I would tell the story was Quinn's story. But it was started from my other classmates. Yep, it just that heaven created 8-year relationship among my classmates. I didn't think my friends realized this curse and I planned not to have an 8-year relationship to avoid the curse.

The third curse arrived on Quinn's door at the same time when I was struggling with my ideas for the stolen project. I simply did not know it crawled onto Quinn's life because I didn't track down other people's relationships. I knew something was off when I didn't receive any info from Quinn these few months. I thought she was just busy until she sent me a message to hang out with her.

Been a while. Fish and Chips tonight?

I surrounded my life with bees, those who work day and night to make a living. So, a chance to hang out in the middle of the week would be a big question. Something must have happened. I wished nothing bad came out and she only needed a day off from her busy life. I simply answered yes to Quinn and continued my job.

I pressed Lintang's number on my phone with my mind crafting all the words I needed to spill to him. I didn't have many tech friends so I should try him. I hoped Lintang would want to help me.

Lintang: Your majesty! To what honor do I get this call?

Me: (to see your appealing smile again, I thought) Lintang, hi, how, how is the website?

Lintang: Craaazzyy... We get two until three hundred visitors per day! And you know what? During the break we got five hundred visitors. I think during the new academic year, we'll welcome a thousand visitors.

Me: Niceee.

Lintang: Yeah, and that's because of you, your majesty.

Me: Happy to know.

There was a pause for a few seconds.

Lintang: I guess that's not the only reason why you call me, right? What can I do for you, your majesty?

If you forget about the reason why he called me that way, you should go back to the early chapters in this story, the chapter that consists of my first project at Tome Publishing.

I explained to him about my plan. Well, it  was Hendra's plan. Lintang paused and there was no sound on the end of the call for a few second.

Me: Look, I know it's breaking the rules and it's a lot for you but I really need your help.

Lintang: Are you crazy? This is the greatest chance to put my skills into use! I've been dreaming doing something like this but can't do it because I'm working for a school... You know, the integrity and honesty thing... But, I'm definitely in.

I grinned. We chatted quite some time to discuss deeper about our plan. What, when, where, who, and how it would be conducted. Lintang questioned me on why I did it and I explained it to him. There was such a warm support from Lintang to my decision on how I should make a payback on Desmond, the bastard who used me for his benefit. In fact, Lintang mentioned he would leave a surprise for Desmond in his computer and laptop as a thank you gift from him cause I helped him save his job.

Lintang:... And so, who's this Hendra? You mentioned his name many times but you don't state his position. He can't just be your human resources manager, right?
