One Week Later
"What happened to you?" asked Firda pinched my arm to gather my attention.
My mind was busy with so many things. I had to finish making the content for the school's website, needed to contact people from IT department, sorted out colours for shooting the school's background, decided the gift I should give for Nadya's wedding, went to a shopping mall to buy a new dress, and hundreds other stuffs.
"Busy, tired, confused, need coffee" I said to her as a conclusion for my needs right now. I didn't drink coffee, I quit drink it when I started making my thesis.
"Let's order Starbucks" Firda suggested.
"No, I can't. My best friend is getting married tonight, I need to buy gift for her," I refused.
"Ouch, best friend. Gotta spend a lot for them," Firda smiled.
We were on our way to the storage room to find our appliances for our projects. I had my list since three days ago but Mr Adinata hadn't mentioned anything about it. I couldn't just sit and wait for his call. As I predicted, when we got into storage room, my order hadn't been completed. I was upset but didn't say a thing, I was still a new worker, I couldn't just cast my temper to Mr Adinata who had worked for this company for ten years.
I decided to find the tools and accessories for the shooting by myself. Firda was sitting close to me supervising Mr Adinata to fulfill her request.
"Where is the wedding?" asked Firda.
I looked at my notes, sorted different paint colours to be used as the background for the shoot.
"In BSD," I answered.
"Have you got new dress?" She asked again.
"Not yet, have to find it today, but I don't have time to go home these recent days. I slept only three hours for three days straight and can't spend time to take my gown at home. I guess I have to go to the mall and buy a new one then go to the wedding," I answered.
"Wow, you have to be super fast to do that. It takes two hours from here to BSD. I suggest you stop by BSD mall and take a taxi from there," Firda was a little chatty today.
"Have planned to do that. Hope there'll be no traffic," I crossed my fingers.
"Going to BSD mall?" A familiar voice got into the middle of our conversation.
I bend my knees to count manila and poster papers, looked up to see who was talking, and was a bit confused seeing Hendra was standing beside Firda.
"Yes, Danica is going to the mall. She needs a dress for her friend's wedding tonight," said Firda looked more enthusiastic than me.
I could not force myself to be happy for Nadya, because she was not happy.
"Do you know how to get there? My house is in the same direction. I can drive you there," Hendra suddenly offered to drop me there. Wow, how generous he was! "It's faster than using public transportation."
I looked at Firda who nodded fast as if this was an interesting offer.
"I don't think so," I answered. "I don't wanna be a burden."
What? A burden? Oh, why would I say that?
"No, I'm okay with it. I actually plan to go to mall, maybe this is just the right time," said Hendra.
He planned to go to a mall? What for?
"I need a new suit for my brother's wedding next month but I'm not really good at finding one. If you don't mind, I need your advise," Hendra added looking at my confused mimics.
