A marriage should be sacred and holy. It should not be a game, a bet, or a try out. There should be no winning or losing; one is not better than the other. There should be no risk of losing or chance of profit; it is not a business. There should be no competition; no bad nor good scores. A marriage should be sacred, free from gossips and bad words. A marriage should be sacred, love should be given and taken, with only two to hearts to share. A marriage should be sacred until the death do us apart.

In fact, does it always happen like that?

My understanding and perception about wedding was the one I shared above. Love should be the nature of the wedding and should be nurtured day by day. Sadly, not all marriage reflect what should happen in a marriage.

When I was young, my mom told me a story about her life. She met my father when they were mature enough to decide what could have happened to them. My dad was the first one to fall for my mom. Even though my mom never admitted how she felt about my dad, I could see from how she dedicated her life to the family that she loved us. She did not really get the chance to get to know my dad because they met just a month before my dad had to go abroad to study. She immediately said yes to dad's proposal and they got married just a few days before they left the country.

Was it love at the first sight? My mom said yes, my dad loved her since the first time they met. My mom bragged that it was because of her beauty, but I could see that was not totally true. My mom was pretty, but I knew my dad saw something beyond what a face can reveal.

Was it a true love? Well, I could not confirm it, but I thought they were a match from heaven above. How did I know? Because they were like a pair of glasses or a pair of shoes, one should be together with the other, otherwise they would not function well. I remembered when my mom had to leave town for a certain business and I was left alone with my father at home. Since mom was the one who did the cooking at home, my dad knew a little about cooking. When I arrived at home from school and saw there was no food, I did not feel like eating. To eradicate hunger at home, my dad decided to cook. What did he cook? A random menu that he named by himself. I was smiling all the time from the process of cooking until we ate the food. The way he cooked was hilarious, he cooked as if he was Rudy Choiruddin, Indonesian most famous chef on that time. He kept talking while cooking, telling me that he could cook, the food would be delicate, and how mom should be proud of his cooking skills. As a result, I said I was proud of him. I could not say the food was tasty nor bad, it was just... edible. After cooking, he asked me to clean up the kitchen because he felt so tired taking a lot of energy creating two kinds of menu for two portion. Moreover, for the dinner we ordered some food. That time I knew that my dad needed another pair of himself.

There was a wedding invitation card on my table when I arrived at my workplace this morning. I opened the card and saw the bride's and groom's name; Agung Wajendra Lingga and Citra Erina Iswari. Who were they? I tried to remember my friends complete names but I still could not match their names with my friends or relatives names. I kept the invitation card on my table and started to do my own job.

Today I should go to Sekolah Media Indonesia, met the vice principal there, prepared for the recording and went to Yogi, the tech team member. There were so many things I had to prepare before going to the school at ten. January, another tech member will accompany me to the school, but he had not arrived yet. I quickly took my notes and memorized things I had to do at the school.

First, I had to explain my plan to Ms Istari. I already explained it to her but there were things changed after our last conversation. Second, the shooting should be taken accordingly. Third, I would speak to the school's technician to explain how we would use their website for advert. Hopefully, things would go smoothly.
