I was finally able to turn around and had to look up to meet the face of the staticky being. He was very tall, and his colour palette consisted of dark reds and black. The next thing I noticed were... his teeth! They were so yellow, I almost thought he hadn't brushed in decades! After a while of examining him, I realised who he was. "Hello...? Anybody home?" He asked again, leaning down to be face-to-face with me, his wide smile catching me off guard. I was shocked by how close he was. A little too close.

"Hey, sorry about that. My name's Velva Flores. I was just headed to the Hazbin Hotel." I chuckled, still nervous that I was caught staring. Then I remembered where I had seen him before. In Vox's office, he had a small table with a picture of this man, Alastor, along with a few others. "My my, what a funny coincidence! I was heading that way myself. Care to join me, my dear?" With that, Alastor began walking to the hotel. I rushed up behind him, standing off to the side.

"Now, my dear. What caused you to end up in such a place, hm?" He asked, although not turning his head towards me. "Um, I'd rather not say." I laughed, rubbing my arms. Alastor side-eyed me suspiciously before returning to face forward. His smile didn't move at all, but his eyes twitched slightly. "Welcome, my dear, to the Hazbin Hotel." Alastor opened the door. I began admiring the hotel. The palette of the entire building fit together so well... until I saw a bar area off to the side.

"Ah, yes. The hotel's bar, run by our very own Husker! Truly an interesting man." Alastor chuckled to himself. "In fact, I added these renovations myself! Adds an interesting pop of color, don't you think?" Alastor turned to me. I nodded softly, turning when I heard footsteps. "Hi there! I don't think I've seen you in the hotel before!" A blonde girl, about my height, cheered with a bright smile. I recognized her from Voxxie's picture as well. "Hi. I'm Velva, and you must be... Charlie?" I stuck my hand out with a smile.

"Yes! Alastor, did you bring her here? I didn't think you had any friends!" She squealed, clearly happy that I was here. I found myself laughing slightly at Charlie's comment and turning to Alastor. His eye twitched slightly and his smile tightened as he laughed dryly. "Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it like that! You just never bring anyone around or talk about anyone and-" I felt the need to step in as Charlie rambled. After taking a deep breath, I put my hand on her shoulder. "I'm sure you meant well, Charlie." I offered a soft smile, finally calming her down.

"Thank you, Velva." Charlie sighed. I turned to Alastor who was still looking off into space. "Is he... normally like this?" I asked, pointing to him. "I think we should just... leave him alone for now." Charlie took my hand and slowly stepped away from Alastor as his eyes continued twitching. "Let me introduce you to everyone else." She pulled me to a part of the main room where multiple sinners sat, talking amongst each other around a fireplace. "This is our first participant in the hotel, Angel Dust!" She held her hand out to him.

Angel simply just looked over to us and shrugged, going back to his phone. So this is the famous Angel who works for Val... "You've already met Husk," She pointed to Husk who simply rolled his eyes and went back to drinking. "Here's Niffty, she's our cleaner." A small girl with one big eye looked up at me with a mischievous expression. She climbed up to my chest and held herself up by my sleeves. "I clean!" She giggled. "That's nice." I smiled awkwardly as I set her down on the ground.

"And this is my girlfriend, Vaggie." Charlie smiled, pushing a shorter, purple-ish-gray skinned woman in front of her. I noticed the big X over her eye and the spear she held for whatever reason. It all seemed too familiar. "Are you...?" Before I could finish my question, I noticed how tense Vaggie became. "Nevermind. You just looked familiar." I said as she rubbed her arm. "Anyways, what do you all do here at this hotel?" I turned to Charlie as Vaggie went to sit down. "This entire hotel is a chance for sinners to redeem themselves." I was taken aback by her answer.
