I sighed as my mother went on and on about everything I 'do wrong'. "Why is it such a problem that I want to visit the other realms? You did it when you were my age!" I crossed my arms. "I did it when I was given permission from my parents! I never gave you permission to go to that realm!" My mother shouted back. "I left to get away from YOU! You keep me in this prison of a home and expect me to be happy?! That's fucked up!" I screamed, pointing at my mother accusingly. "Watch your mouth when you talk to me. I will keep you in this house for as long as I need to!" She gripped my wrist tightly.
"I'm already an adult! Let me live my life!" I pulled out from her grip. "There's no problem with me going to Hell! I'd rather be there than stuck with you!" My mother's eye twitched. "Yes, it is a problem! Ever since you went to Hell, you've changed! What have those people brainwashed you with?! You were never worried about the sinners of Hell and now you want to help some brat help redeem them?!" My mother shouted.
"Don't you DARE talk about my friends like that! Unlike you, they actually care about me! And I was never worried because I barely knew anything about them! Because YOU kept me here! The only place I could visit was Earth! Then you stopped letting me go there for whatever reason." I explained, pissed that even my own mother wouldn't listen to me. But then again, she never did.
"To protect you! Humans are vile creatures that would kill for someone like you! I'm doing what I have to do as your parent!" Here she goes with the 'parent' card. "What do you mean 'protect me'? Your the fucking goddess of anger and revenge! You don't have a protective or caring bone in your body!" I scoffed. "I'm not taking your shit." I was ready to walk out of my mother's house, but she grabbed my wrist.
"You get back here right now, young lady! I am NOT done with you!" My mother shouted, pulling me back towards her. "Well, I'm done with you!" I pulled out of her grip, glaring at my mother. I wasn't only disappointed, but I was hurt. "You are just like your father and your brother... To think you're my daughter." My mother muttered as I was ready to fly off.
I turned towards her, a tear in the corner of my eye. "SHUT UP! You abandoned my father without a second thought. Don't act like he was such a bad person when he actually cared about me and Val!" I slapped my mother across her face without thinking, made a portal back to the hotel, and walked through it. "She's upstairs. Coming up with something, I'm sure, in our room. Alone." Vaggie said as I walked in. Alastor hummed before vanishing. To speak with Charlie I bet. "Vels, what the fuck! Where have you been, toots?" Angel walked over to me. "Can't talk, Angie. Pretty tired." I collapsed on the couch. "What happened to you?" Angel asked, laughing.
"My mother happened." I groaned, taking out my ponytail and running a hand through my hair. "Your mom? As in 'emotionless, heartless bitch who doesn't know how to care for kids' mom?" Angel asked, leaning against the couch. "That's harsh even for you, Angel. Damn." I sighed, turning to him. "Your words, not mine." He shrugged. "Oh yeah, that makes sense." I laughed sitting up. Niffty walked up to me and jumped on my lap, playing with my hair. "We got Daddy issues and Mommy issues." Husk laughed from the bar. "Your dad's a good person, though. Right?" Angel asked. My lips thinned to a line and I looked away from the spider.
"Mommy and Daddy issues? Damn, V." Husk chuckled before drinking out of the bottle he held. "Wait, where'd Alastor go?" I looked around for him, not finding him. "Oh no..." Vaggie muttered, gripping her spear. We rushed up to Charlie and Vaggie's room, bursting the door open. "Right on cue!" Alastor smiled. Fuck, Vox won't be happy about this. "What did you do? Let her go!" Vaggie rushed to Alastor, ready to attack him with her spear. "Vaggie, stop!" Charlie got in front of Vaggie as her demonic form slowly went away. "What?" Vaggie dropped her spear, realizing what had happened.
