POV: Quebec

I wake up in the middle of the night. I know this because I look over at the clock and it says 1:02 AM. Then, I hear a sound coming from the living room.

When I go out to the living room however, I see nothi-*BANG!* I suddenly get hit in my head. I desperately try to keep my consciousness, but it was futile.

"Now get him in the van, and quick!" I heard someone say before I fully lost consciousness, where were they taking me?

POV: Vermont

I wake up to a rather odd sight, or lack thereof. Quebec is...missing.

I search for him, but he's nowhere to be found. Then I found a ransom note.

What. The. Fuck. They-how do they know!? How'd I let this happen?!

Vermont. Calm down. It's going to be okay.

First, I need to make a couple of phone calls.

POV: Mary White

"Hello this is Ms. White!" I answered the phone to an unexpected person.

"Mary? This is Vermont. I need to ask you something." I hear him say with a nervousness I haven't heard him with.

"Okay. What is it?" I ask, and I am frankly appalled at what he says.

"Do you know what the ICEP is?" He says, and oh boy did those words hit me like a truck.

"Why in the WORLD would you want to know about that?" I ask, to another shocking response.

"They've kidnapped Quebec."

POV: Julian Mercier

"Bonjour, c'est Julian Mercier, à qui est-ce que je parle?" I say after accepting a call from an unknown number.

"Julian?" A familiar voice says.

"Vermont? Pourquoi avez-vous appelé à cette heure?" I ask him, to worrying news.

"Parce que les Québéc a été kidnappés." He says, shakily.

"D'accord, où es-tu et sais-tu qui l'a emmené?" I ask.

"Je suis à Burlington, dans le Vermont, et une organisation appelée ICEP l'a emmené. À part cela, je ne sais pas." He says, to my surprise, which was two fold.

"L'ICEP? Pourquoi le voulaient-ils?" I ask him, to a expected response.

"Ils veulent que je dénonce le New Hampshire et ses compagnons d'évasion!" He said.

"S'il a été pris par l'ICEP, le bâtiment de l'ICEP le plus proche est à Philadelphie, donc c'est probablement son emplacement. Sinon, je prendrai l'avion dès que possible. Mais à part ça, c'est tout ce que je peux faire. Au revoir." I said.

"Au revoir." He then hangs up. New job for me I guess.

POV: La Folie

"Venez à La Folie., nous avons une mise à jour sur 020." I hear my contractor say on the other line.

"Dites-le."

"Sa fiancée, 021, a été kidnappée par l'ICEP pour obtenir des informations sur 023 et 002, deux évadés."

"Où est l'emplacement de 023?"

"La succursale ICEP de Philadelphie est l'emplacement de 023."

"D'accord, quand ma prochaine fenêtre ouverte?"

"Votre prochaine fenêtre ouverte est dans 2 jours."

"Bien. Je vous parlerai plus tard. Au revoir."

POV: 2nd person (via #2)

"Hey Number 1, status report on Quebec?" #1 asks you, to which you look back and he's still out cold. "Still out cold." You say.

But in secret, you know your plan. Your going to bring this entire thing down, for her.

POV: New Hampshire

"Vermont?! Where in the world are you?" I answered the phone.

"Look that's not important at the moment, Quebec's been kidnapped." He said, to which I was taken aback.

"Damn. Do you have any idea on where he is?"

"From other contacts, I'm pretty sure that he's in an ICEP building in Philly."

The pure malice and anger for that damned company makes me hang up the phone. Why is it always them?!

POV: Vermont

I should probably take my mind off of this, maybe watch some tv, that may he-*Ring! Ring!*

"Hello, this is Vermont?"

"Hi, you don't know me, but I know you well, and we're going to get Quebec back."

(And thus we see the end of book one, but more, the prologue of book two.)

(As well to that, if you can find all connections to two in this chapter, you get a prize.)
