A cloudy English morning panned across the
Sky as dull, golden rays of sun seeped through thin wooden blinds.

America and Canada lay sprawled in their separate beds. Although the house was considerably large, America and Canada shared a room and just a few rooms away- so did Australia and New Zealand.

A tranquil silence is pierced by the sound of the  American national anthem accompanied by the screech of an eagle.

Canadas POV:
"Can you please shut off your..."
I hesitate for a moment lingering on the word "bloody" before realising how much I would sound like dad 😑

"... alarm?"

I grumble, I try to say it in the most urgent- polite tone possible but really my ears feel like they're bleeding. USA was always up to his shenanigans and yet he was still the "golden child" Everyone always assumed that me being one of the youngest, tallest and politer siblings would be the "favourite" but it's all lies and worse- USA will do everything and anything  in his power to make it seem believable 😑

"Yeah, yeah alright-"
He says tossing off his navy blue sheets and clambering on his pair of black sunglasses before quite literally slamming the digital alarm into his basket-ball hoop positioned directly above the bin.

"SCOREEE!!!!" He screeches like an eagle

I turn to him giving him an angry glare as I too throw off my crimson sheets and position a furry - tailed hat on my tangled hair.

"What? it was a slam-dunk?" USA says making an exaggerated shrugging motion - pretending to be unaware of the loud ruckus he just caused.

USA POV:
To be honest, I still think nada is a major buzz-kill he wasn't that much when he was younger but eventually I guess it just kinda faded.

I grab some clothes,
An oversized  blue shirt embroidered with the words
"LAND OF THE FREE" followed by a scene of several eagles zipping through a cloud- free sky.
A pair of blueish grey cargo pants
And some plain white socks.
Along with my phone, I dance my way too the bathroom, snapping my fingers. Whilst humming the vague pattern of the McDonalds theme song- it always gets on Nada's nerves .

Australia and New Zealand-

Similar to Canada and USA , the pair lay sprawled in their bed's before being rudely awakened by a chorus of eagle screeches and slam dunks from the other side of the wall.
The pair urgently spring up into a sitting position at the same time and exchange tired, somewhat agitated glances at one another.

Although Australia was the youngest of the family he seemed much older than New Zealand. This usually got onto NZ's nerves as he looked quite weak and was often teased - but he was still the second oldest out of the 4.

-Time cut-⏱️

1 supercharged and 3 exhausted siblings stumble down the staircase

A pungent aroma of sickly- sweet tea accompanied with an English breakfast made a dense environment so thick , the countries could barely breathe.
Not too far away was the divine taste of buttery croissants and macarons with a delightful savour of baguettes flow through the air

Days were often like this in the English- French family home.

Canada, dressed in dark blue skinny jeans, a plaid red shirt, his iconic tailed hat and a pair of fuzzy socks came first.
Followed by
Australia wearing a shark-like tooth around his neck ( it was his "lucky charm") , along with his drawstring hat, a pair of beige shorts and a white - tee.
Then followed by
New Zealand wearing a grey sleeveless hoodie with a small embroidered kiwi (NOT THIS 🥝GUYS) and a pair of dark grey- green baggy pants/trousers.
And lastly trailed by:
A hyper USA

France and UK greet their children
Uk however is mostly occupied with his tea and crossword from the newspaper
an France is cooking up some of her delectables in the open kitchen.

Canada devours a tall plate of maple syrup- soaked pancakes
USA has a plate of eggs and bacon
Australia feasts upon a whole- fry of grilled mushrooms, tomatoes, beans and sunny side up eggs
NZ slurps a bowl of Weet-bix.
