When Mili finally awoke, she found herself in a lavish room filled with her favorite things: chocolates, flowers, luxurious makeup and skincare products, beautiful dresses, high-heeled sandals, cakes, and fresh fruits. Everything was perfect, but there was no one around. Her head throbbed painfully, and a wave of panic started to rise within her.

Just as her breathing grew ragged, Ishan burst into the room. His eyes, filled with concern and longing, softened as he rushed to her side. He gently cupped her face in his hands, his touch tender. “Mili, I’m here. It’s okay,” he whispered, his voice soothing.

She gazed up at him, tears welling in her eyes. “Ishan... my head hurts. I feel so strange.”

Ishan’s heart ached at the sight of her distress. He sat beside her and began to massage her temples, his fingers moving with the care and familiarity of someone who had waited a lifetime for this moment. “Just relax,” he murmured. “I’m here now. I’ll take care of you.”

As he continued to ease her pain, he asked gently, “Mili, who gives you your medicine?”

“My parents,” she replied softly, her voice tinged with confusion. “They’ve always taken care of it.”

Ishan’s eyes narrowed slightly, suspicion creeping in. “Don’t worry, Mili. I’ll make sure everything is alright.” He kissed her forehead, his lips lingering as if trying to convey all the love and devotion he felt for her.

After she had calmed down, Ishan stepped out of the room to call his trusted doctor. “Dr. Shah, I need you to come to my penthouse immediately. It’s about Mili. Her health… it’s worse than I thought.”

Dr. Shah arrived quickly, and after a thorough discussion, he decided to change Mili’s medication. “Her symptoms suggest that her current medication might be doing more harm than good,” he explained. “We’ll start her on these new meds and monitor her closely.”

Ishan nodded, his worry evident. “Thank you, doctor. She means everything to me. Please, help her get better.”

Returning to Mili’s side, Ishan found her lying back on the bed, looking more at ease. He sat down and took her hand in his, his thumb tracing gentle circles on her skin. “Mili, the doctor’s changing your medication. I promise, we’ll figure this out together.”

Mili looked up at him, her eyes filled with gratitude and a hint of lingering confusion. “Why are you doing all this, Ishan?”

He leaned in, his voice barely a whisper. “Because I’ve loved you for as long as I can remember. And I can’t bear to see you suffer. I’ll do anything to keep you safe and happy.”

Mili's heart fluttered as Ishan leaned closer, his breath warm against her lips. His eyes were filled with an intensity that made her feel both cherished and trapped. Just as his lips were about to meet hers, a vivid image of Paul flashed in her mind, reminding her of his love and the promises they had made.

She pulled back abruptly, placing a hand on Ishan's chest to keep him at a distance. "Ishan, please, I need to get out of here. Where am I? Why did you bring me here?" Her voice trembled with confusion and determination.

Ishan's eyes darkened with a mix of hurt and anger. The sudden rejection felt like a dagger to his heart. He had envisioned this moment so differently, filled with mutual longing and understanding. Her pushing him away shattered that dream.

"You don't understand, Mili," he said, his tone turning cold and hard. "I have the legal right to do whatever it takes to protect you." His voice was laced with bitterness as he added,  you like it or not, you're staying here."

Mili’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Legal right? What are you talking about? You can't just keep me here against my will!”

Ishan’s expression turned cruel as he leaned in closer, his proximity suffocating. “I can and I will. You might not remember everything, but I do. And I remember a promise we made a long time ago.”
