Mili sat on her bed, lost in thought. "I'm not alone at all. Why am I thinking about all these things? Yes, maybe it's because of inner feelings, but why? I don't have any feelings... Oh, it's so confusing!"

Suddenly, her phone vibrated. She glanced at the screen, recognizing Ishan's name. Her heart skipped a beat as she answered.

"Hey, princess," Ishan's voice came through, warm and teasing. "I think you're hiding something from me."

Mili tried to keep her voice steady. "No, no, everything is okay! Wait, what are you saying?"

Ishan chuckled. "What do you mean, what? You are my princess."

Mili's heart raced. "I thought you forgot about that."

Ishan's tone turned serious. "Yeah, you can forget because of your nature, but you can't realize anything about me, am I right, dear?"

Mili felt a pang of hurt. "Excuse me, please don't say things like that. It's really hurting."

"Oh, I see!" Ishan replied lightly. "Okay then, bye. See you soon. Wait, I have good news for you. I bought your favorite car."

Mili was stunned. "My favorite car? But why? Why did you buy it?"

"Calm down, it's just a car. But I can do anything for you. You are my little princess of shining star. Okay, stay safe. Bye."

Mili sighed. "Yeah, I hope so."

She hung up, feeling more confused than ever. "What's wrong with him? Why does he do these things? I can't understand. I have to study, but I can't focus. Why am I sad inside? I can't recognize my own feelings."

Lily entered the room, noticing Mili's distress. "Hey Mili, don't think too much. Everything will be fine."

Mili shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. "I'm fine, don't worry."

Lily frowned, unconvinced. "I can clearly see you're frustrated. Please tell me what happened in the past. I just want to know."

With a clumsy voice, Mili said, "No, no, I'm fine. You're thinking too much about me."

Lily sighed. "Okay, okay. Let's go for lunch."

Mili managed a small smile. "Miss, where do you want to go, actually?"

Lily's eyes lit up. "A new restaurant, White Wings. Let's go, please, please."

Mili chuckled softly. "Okay, okay, I'm coming."

As they left, Mili's thoughts drifted back to Ishan. She could still remember how he used to care for her. "Why did he leave me? Why? I was his little princess of shining star. How could he!"

Lily interrupted her thoughts. "Hey, what are you thinking about again? What's wrong with you? We're getting late."

Mili snapped back to the present and prepared herself. "I'm okay, yeah. Let's go."

But even as they walked to the restaurant, her inner turmoil continued. "What am I actually doing? Is it right or wrong?"

At the restaurant, the ambiance was light and cheerful, but Mili’s mind was still a storm. She and Lily found a cozy corner and settled in. Lily, always the perceptive friend, decided to probe gently.

"Mili, I know something’s bothering you. It's not just about Ishan, is it?"

Mili sighed, stirring her drink absently. "It's everything, Lily. Seeing Ishan brought back so many memories, and now I'm questioning everything. Paul is so good to me, but I can’t shake these feelings about Ishan. It's like my past is colliding with my present."

Lily nodded understandingly. "You don't have to figure it all out at once. Sometimes, it's okay to sit with your feelings and see where they take you."

Mili smiled weakly. "You make it sound so easy."

Lily grinned. "I never said it was easy, but you don't have to do it alone. I'm here, and I'll help you through this."

As they ordered their lunch, Mili felt a small sense of relief. She knew she had a long road ahead in understanding her emotions, but with Lily's support, she felt a little more confident in facing the challenges. The food arrived, and they ate in comfortable silence for a while.

Between bites, Lily couldn't resist a little more teasing. "So, about this favorite car Ishan bought... what kind of car is it?"

Mili laughed, the tension breaking slightly. "It's a classic Mustang. I've always loved those cars. I can't believe he remembered."

Lily raised an eyebrow. "Ishan might be arrogant and dominating, but it sounds like he has a soft spot for you."

Mili rolled her eyes playfully. "Yeah, maybe. But that doesn't mean he’s changed."

Lily leaned in, her tone serious. "People do change, Mili. And sometimes, the way they act is just a shield for how they really feel. Maybe it's worth finding out who Ishan is now, not just who he was."

Mili pondered Lily's words, realizing there might be some truth to them. "Maybe you're right. I guess I need to see for myself."

As they finished their meal, Mili felt a mix of apprehension and hope. She still had feelings for Ishan, but she also cared about Paul. It was a complicated situation, but she knew she couldn't ignore it any longer.

The walk back to their apartment was filled with light chatter and laughter, Lily doing her best to keep Mili's spirits up. When they finally arrived home, Mili felt a bit lighter, even though her heart was still heavy with indecision.

"Thanks for today, Lily," Mili said, hugging her friend tightly. "I needed this."

"Anytime, Mili. Remember, whatever happens, I’m here for you," Lily replied, returning the hug.

Mili went to her room, feeling a bit more at peace. She sat on her bed, her mind still racing but with a new resolve. She knew she had to face her feelings and make some tough decisions. Whether it was Ishan or Paul, she had to follow her heart, even if it led her into uncertain territory.

As she drifted off to sleep, Mili whispered to herself, "I'll figure this out. I have to." And with that, she let herself rest, knowing that tomorrow was a new day, full of possibilities and choices yet to be made.
