Nightmare

Charlotte is happy. Genuine and utterly happy. Her relationship with Mia is going amazing. Mia is permanantly back in town since the takeover over the nurserys is in full action and she admitted that she missed her girlfriend far too much.

They have been planning and arranging everything for months now. Mia, Reece and Autumn having planned everything perfectly, and Roger knows he is going down. Today is a meeting scheduled with Reece, Autumn, Marjorie, Mia and Roger to settle it once and for all.

That is why she and the others are waiting in front of Marjories office right now. Waiting for the meeting to be over and hopefully celebrate the siblings defeating their father. Mia has been a great help the last few months helping them with some insider infos and getting documents from Roger both of them couldn’t have gotten without her. They even managed a delicate friendship between them again. Which also made Char really happy.

She is brought back to the present when they hear raised voices and screaming, before they suddenly hear a gun being fired inside the office, as all hell breaks loose.

Charlotte and Winter are at the door the fastes. Winter practically kicking the door from it's hinges. Stopping in his tracks when he see's what's going on.

Charlotte squezzing past him, her eyes frantically searching the room for the red hair of her girlfriend.

She sees Roger  on the ground, unconscious, a gun being kicked away by Autumn who probably knocked him out. Reece and Marjorie are kneeling at the other side of the room.

That's when she spots red hair, peaking out between Marjories and Reeces shoes on the floor. Why would Mia be on the floor?

That's when she hears Reece's and Marjorie's panicked voices. Reece is on the phone, all she can make out through the blood rushing in her ears is: "got shot...in the chest...please hurry."

Marjorie is trying to calm Mia down, who screams in pain as Marjorie presses down on her wound, desperately trying to stop the bleeding. Char feels her heart drop as she rushes over to Mia, kneeling beside her head.

Her eyes scanning her body frantically. There is so much blood. Too much blood. "Char...": Mia whispers voice coarse from the screaming.

Charlotte feels tears streaming down her face. "I'm here, my love. It's okay. You are going to be okay. Please be okay." Mia is looking at her now, she is pale, all color drained from her face.

"I.." she coughs "I..love you..so much" she coughs more, turning her head, as more blood sprays on the floor.
Her breathing is hectic now, as blood is clogging her airways, making her choke on it. Char is sobbing uncontrolably now, as Reece moves Mia on her side, in hope to clear her airways a little. That's when the paramedics arrive, shooing everyone away and get to work quickly.

Char feels someone gently grabbing her, and trying to move her away from Mia, but she fights them. Mia needs her now, Mia is scared, she saw it in her eyes.

When she feels arms wrap around her to carry her away, she tries to fight them too, but her arms are pinned to her sides, in a strong hold. After they are in front of the room, they put her down. Charlotte turns around coming face to face with Autumn, as she tries to get back in the room, Autumn surprises her as wraps her arms around her and holds her close.

Char clutches desperately at her, sobbing into her shoulder as Autumn holds her. Letting her fall apart.

After a few minutes they wheel an unconscious Mia into the ambulance, quickly telling them where they are taking her and that while she is alive for now, it's not looking good, before driving off with flashing lights and the siren on.
