It's a warm summer day. Mia is leaning against her black Mustang, waiting for Char, as a child runs up to her excited, with bright, shining eyes and a smile on her face.

"Is that your car?" She asks, looking up at Mia with big eyes. Mia smiles as she crouches down to eye level with the girl. "Yes, that is my car, little one"

The girl smiles even wider. "Wow that's soo cool and you are so pretty." Mia laughes a little. "Thank you, you are really pretty too. I love your hair. Did your mom do that beautiful braid?"

"Yes. She always braids my hair in the morning. Can I sit in your car?" Just as Mia opens her mouth to reply a woman roughly grabs the girls arm and pulls her to her.

"Alexandria, what have I told you about talking to strangers?" She chides her child. "I am sorry about-" the woman goes to apologies to Mia, but stops as she lays eyes on her, scanning her, and Mia can see her demeanor changing. Rolling her eyes inwardly.

"It's alright, she just asked about my car and if she can sit in it for a second. I don't mind if she is allowed." Mia tries to ease the tension a little. The mother really seems angry at her all of a sudden.

The mother scoffs. "No, she is not allowed to sit in a strangers car, especially not in one that belongs to someone the likes of you.
" Looking outright disgustet now.

Now Mia gets angry too. She gets not wanting their kids talking to strangers but she has done nothing than being nice and that's what she gets in return.

"What is that supposed to mean?" "You know exactly what I mean. Just look at what you are wearing. Showing off all that skin" Mia doesn't need to look down at was she is wearing, because she chose to put on Char's favourite tank top and her favourite pair of shorts but everything was appropriate.

"Have you never seen shoulders beford?" Mia deadpans, raising one eyebrow at her, challenging.

Instead of answering she turns around sharply, with her kid in tow, and stomps back into the nursery. Mia rolls her eyes, before going back to scrolling on her phone.

"MARJORIE" her name gets called loudly, making Marj jump in her chair. Hand on her heart, she turns to the angry parent in her office. "Jesus Christ. Did you have to scare me so badly? How can I help you?"

"The woman in the parking lot, next to the black car. I want her removed. What she did is unaccebtable." Marj moves a little so she can look out the window. Seeing Mia in the car park, leaning against her car.

Ugh of course. "Mia. Whatever she said I am sorry. Just out of curiosity what did she say?" Leaning back into her normal position to talk to Alexandria's mom.

"It's not about what she said but what she is wearing." She spits out. Marj looks a little confused, leaning back again to take another look at Mia, who is wearing a black tank top and black shorts nothing bad, she saw other people wearing far more revealing clothing today.

"What do you mean?" She asks. "She is showing off all that skin. it's inappropriate in a nursery. What about the kids?"

"It is a warm day. She isn't in the nursery and the kids don't really care about what anybody is wearing. I have seen staff wear the exact same things, and you haven't said anything about them, ever. And Alexandria has been here for 3 years now. In conclusion I can not and will not tell her to move because she has done nothing wrong." Marjorie explains calmly.

"Expect an strongly worded E-mail from me."
And with that she turns and leaves. Marjorie just shakes her head. "She isn't even doing anything and people are getting angry at her."

Mia is on the phone with Char who called her to let her know she will be out a little late. Apologizing profusely. Mia can't help the soft smile that spreads over her features as she talks to her girlfriend, reassuring her that it's fine and she will wait.
