The new arrangement begins smoothly. They balance their physical relationship with their friendship, continuing to support each other through college life and personal challenges.

One night, the two having dinner....

Yanna: "So, this feels... normal, right? Like nothing's changed?"

Fox: "Totally. We're still us, just with a little extra fun on the side."

Yanna: laughs "Yeah, just a little extra."

As Fox and Yanna left the restaurant, the night air was crisp with the promise of an enjoyable evening ahead. As they made their way to Yanna's condominium, Fox couldn't help but tease her about their countless sleepovers.

"You know, Yanna, I think I should start paying rent for all the time I spend crashing at your place," Fox joked, a playful grin on his face.

Yanna rolled her eyes, but there was a fondness in her tone as she replied, "Oh, please. You practically live here anyway. I should be charging you for utilities."

Fox chuckled, following her up the stairs to her apartment. "Fair point. But hey, at least I bring my snacks."

Yanna shot him a mock glare before unlocking the door. "You'd better. I'm not sharing my stash of chocolate with you."

As they entered the cozy confines of Yanna's condominium, Fox couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort wash over him. This place had become like a second home to him, a sanctuary where he could always find solace in Yanna's company.

They enjoy the moments of laughter and light-hearted teasing. Snuggled up on the couch, they exchanged stories and jokes, their voices mingling in the warmth of the night.

As the hours passed, the conversation gradually softened, giving way to a comfortable silence punctuated only by the occasional sound of laughter. Fox found himself lost in Yanna's presence, the familiarity of her company a soothing balm to his soul.

And then, as if by some unspoken agreement, they shared a warm embrace, their hearts beating in sync with the rhythm of the night. In that moment, everything felt perfect, as if the world had stopped spinning just for them.

In the quiet intimacy of the night, Fox felt a rush of emotions welling up inside him, emotions he had kept tucked away for far too long. With Yanna nestled against him, her warmth seeping into his skin, he found himself unable to hold back any longer.

"Yanna," he began, his voice barely above a whisper, "there's something I need to tell you."

Yanna lifted her head slightly, her eyes meeting his with a mixture of curiosity and tenderness. "What is it, Fox?"

He took a deep breath, gathering his courage as he spoke. "I know we've always been friends, but lately, I am--- ."

Yanna's breath caught in her throat, her gaze searching his face for any sign of doubt or hesitation. But all she found was sincerity, raw and unfiltered.

"Fox," she murmured, reaching up to cup his cheek in her hand, "I know I am not more than a friend to you, and I know that ever... No need to remind me... No strings attached... No commitment... As I have told you, as soon as you and Trixie will be in relationship, I will fade away..."

Fox's heart sank at Yanna's words, a mixture of confusion and sadness clouding his expression. He had hoped that tonight, amidst the warmth of their shared moment, he could finally confess his true feelings for her.

But now, faced with her heartbreaking admission, he struggled to find the right words to respond. His mind raced as he tried to make sense of her words, the weight of her unspoken sacrifice hanging heavy in the air between them.
