"The only place."

I triumphantly smirk while running away from Areo. It's too easy to trick her, and I'm sure she'll be the one who will suffer from what I'm planning to do right now. Because Sylvia will definitely be enrage but I don't give a fuck to even bother myself to think about that, I will let Areo deal with that Succubus' lethal attitude for now.

I also know that this is a tough choice with a serious consequence but what important now is for me to carry out my undesirable mission.

Fuck, this really isn't my usual thing besides fighting. I'm not really feeling like myself here and I don't even know if I'm into this or not. But whatever, I gotta keep rolling with it for now. Need to just get this shit done and over with.

"Death?" Her shock face was the first thing that came to my eyes as that single word escaped her lips.

Tumango ako. "Yun." I carefully pushed the door to open it wider so I could slip inside. The chain lock was already in my hand — this was just too stupid.

"Death, bakit ka narito? H-huwag mo sabihing— No! You should keep hiding, bunso!" Aside from bruises, panic was clearly written all over her face. But her shouts still hold some control, it was muffled.

It's a silent shout because if not, then the other maidens will wake up in no time. That's the least thing we want.

"Hiding? Just so I could find you like this? I'm tired of hiding, Yun," I said sarcastically as I looked her over. This is unbelievable, she's suffered way too much for my liking. "We should go home now." I continued firmly. It's funny how she thought I was hiding this whole time.

Part of that was true, but not to save myself. I just had no choice but to stay there. Also, it wasn't me hiding, she was the one who hid me. That's why I needed to gain her trust first before doing all of this.

"P-paano? Nalaman mo na ba kung paano tayo makakauwi?"

Without acknowledging her unspoken questions, I reached for the magical chains binding her arms. "Save your questions later." I dismissively said. In a low murmur, I uttered the incantation, "Evanesce." The chains immediately dissolved into nothingness, relinquishing their constrictive grip on her body. I watched impassively as the mystic shackles dissipated, freeing her from their ethereal bonds.

She's free now.

I turned my attention to her face. Disbelief was written plainly across her features again. Who wouldn't be stunned to see a friend you thought that is incapable of magic suddenly cast a spell before your eyes? I chuckled inwardly. I am no friend of yours, Yun. By now, you should have realized that much.

Not giving her a moment to voice her surprise, I firmly grasped her right wrist and swiftly yet carefully pulled her away from that place. We had no time to linger. It wouldn't be long before Sylvia came hunting for me. We needed to make haste.

Areo would undoubtedly begin searching for me soon as well, before Sylvia even caught wind that I'd fled. That's why we needed to leave this place as soon as possible while Sylvia was still out there, meeting with the demon queen. This is my only chance to do what Death would do if she's awake in this body instead of me.

Removing my cloak, I handed it to her. "Wear this." She barely had fabric to wear, it's all torn to shreds.

I glanced around warily, knowing our window to escape unnoticed was rapidly closing. Every stop we take raised the risk of being discovered before we could make our getaway.

"It's impossible for us to leave here, Death. Unless the known Succubus throws us out herself." She said while draping the cloak over her tattered clothing.
